Abstract
Un método para controlar un inicio de una operación de trabajo de metales. El método incluye detectar un contacto inicial entre un alambre que se alimenta desde un aparato de soldadura y una pieza de trabajo y, en respuesta a la detección, detener la alimentación del alambre desde el aparato de soldadura. El método incluye además activar una fuente de calor de alta energía configurada para calentar una punta del alambre y reanudar la alimentación del alambre desde el aparato de soldadura cuando la punta del alambre sea calentada por la fuente de calor de alta energía hasta un estado plástico. La alimentación del alambre se reanuda midiendo una retroalimentación de fuerza desde el alambre que entra en contacto con la pieza de trabajo. También se describe un aparato para implementar el método.
