Abstract

Se provee un método, aparato y receptor para detectar distorsión de intermodulación (IMD) que afecta a una señal recibida en un receptor inalámbrico. Un método incluye determinar una medición indicativa de IMD con base en por lo menos una señal de transmisión. Cuando la medición indicativa de IMD excede un primer nivel predeterminado, por lo menos una muestra de una amplitud de una salida de señal por el receptor inalámbrico es colectada en un primer conjunto de datos. Cuando la medición indicativa de distorsión de intermodulación no excede de un segundo nivel predeterminado, siendo el segundo nivel predeterminado menor que el primer nivel predeterminado, por lo menos una muestra de una amplitud de la salida de señal por el receptor inalámbrico es colectada en un segundo conjunto de datos. Se hace una comparación con base en los datos del primer conjunto de datos y en los datos del segundo conjunto de datos para determinar una medición de IMD.
