Abstract
Se describe un método para la síntesis de un polímero de poliacrilonitrilo (PAN) con una distribución de peso molecular reducida. El polímero de PAN preferido tiene un PDI (Mw/Mn) de alrededor de 2 o menos. El polímero de PAN se sintetiza mediante la polimerización radical controlada/viva mediante el uso de un agente de RAFT (transferencia de cadena por adición-fragmentación reversible). También se describe un método para la producción de fibras a partir de un polímero de PAN con un PDI bajo.
