Abstract
Un método y sistema para limpiar una válvula de control de derivación del turbocompresor, pudiendo la válvula de control funcionar para variar la posición de una válvula de derivación (conocida como válvula de descarga) y de ese modo variar la cantidad de derivación de flujo a través de una turbina y! compresor de un turbocompresor para un motor, donde la válvula de control está en comunicación de fluido con una fuente de vacío relacionada con el motor, estando la válvula de control configurada para emitir selectivamente la presión de la fuente de vacío, estando la posición de la válvula de derivación determinada por la presión de salida de la válvula de control. El método comprende: determinar si la válvula de control puede requerir limpieza (110); determinar si la presión de la fuente de vacío está por encima o se espera que esté por encima de un valor umbral (130); aumentar un flujo de fluido a través de la válvula de control para limpiar la válvula de control (140); y ajustar una posición de la válvula reguladora del motor y de ese modo la salida de par del motor para compensar el ajuste en la cantidad de sobrealimentación proporcionada por el turbocompresor (140).
