Abstract

Las modalidades descritas incluyen un método, aparato y programa informático para generar mallas computacionales híbridas alrededor de fracturas complejas y separadas a efectos de la simulación de yacimiento. Por ejemplo, una modalidad es un método implementado por computadora para modelar fracturas geológicas tridimensionales (3D). El método incluye los pasos de recibir un conjunto de fracturas con geometría que se ha discretizado en un plano bidimensional mediante una colección de segmentos de línea. El método genera bucles cerrados alrededor de todos los segmentos de línea asociados con una fractura usando un conjunto de estadios y genera además elementos de forma dentro de los bucles cerrados. Se genera una malla restringida alrededor de los bucles cerrados del conjunto de fracturas para rellenar un espacio restante del plano bidimensional.
