Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a una composición de resina de epoxi como componente de matriz para compuestos de moldeo en láminas (SMC) y/o compuestos de moldeo a granel (BMC) que comprende al menos una resina epoxi y un componente endurecedor que comprende al menos un compuesto imidazol y al menos un endurecedor latente en dicha composición de resina epoxi, la cantidad de los compuestos imidazol usada está en el rango de 0.007 a 0.025 moles por mol de grupos epoxi de la composición entera y la cantidad total de grupos amina primarios opcionalmente comprendidos no excede una proporción de 0.09 moles por mol de grupos epoxi de la composición entera. La invención también se refiere a una composición de producto semiacabado de matriz de fibras (composición de SMC o composición BMC), como componente de matriz, con la composición de resina epoxi mencionada y, suspendidas dentro, con fibras cortas de refuerzo con un largo promedio de 0.3 a 5.0 cm. La composición producto semiacabado de matriz de fibras se puede producir por mezcla de los constituyentes, tras lo cual la composición se espesa. El producto espesado resultante (producto semiacabado de matriz de fibras semisólido) caracteriza un tiempo de maduración comparativamente corto y un tiempo operativo disponible comparativamente largo. La invención también se refiere al correspondiente compuesto de matriz de fibras semisólido, en particular al SMC semisólido y al correspondiente producto semiacabado de matriz de fibras curado, en particular el SMC curado. Finalmente, la invención también se refiere a un proceso de control para identificar composiciones a base de resinas epoxi que son apropiadas para usar como matriz termoestable para producir SMC.
