Abstract

En sus diversos aspectos, la presente invención enfrenta los muchos desafíos asociados con hacer mediciones de tiempo que implican enlaces de radio múltiples. Dichas mediciones son referidas aquí como "incrementadas" para connotar que dichas determinaciones de tiempo están haciéndose a través de enlaces de radio múltiples. Aquí, un enlace de radio se entenderá como la conexión de dos nodos de radio, y dos enlaces de radio se considera que son múltiples uno con respecto al otro si son opuestos en términos de direcciones de transmisión de enlace ascendente y enlace descendente, y además si están asociados con diferentes identificadores de celdas y/o si los dos enlaces están entre diferentes pares de nodos de radio. En este contexto, las enseñanzas en la presente describen la compartición de información de capacidad de "medición de tiempo incrementada", v.gr., entre nodos de radio y nodos de posicionamiento. Dicha información indica la capacidad de medición de tiempo incrementada de un nodo de radio. La compartición de dicha información permite que otro nodo, v.gr., un nodo de posicionamiento, determine una configuración de medición de tiempo incrementada que ha de ser usada por un nodo de radio. Además, enseñanzas adicionales en la presente describen configuraciones ventajosas para hacer mediciones de tiempo incrementadas, y técnicas para compensar mediciones de tiempo determinadas a partir de enlaces de radio múltiples, v.gr., compensando para diferencias de tiempo de propagación dependientes de frecuencia.
