Abstract
Se describe un aparato que genera una señal de imagen en la cual los píxeles se codifican en palabras de N bits que codifican al menos una luma por píxel. Un receptor (201) obtiene valores de píxel de intervalo dinámico alto de acuerdo con una primera representación de color en palabras de M bits. Un primer generador (203) incluye los valores de píxel de intervalo dinámico alto en la señal de imagen en las palabras de N bits de acuerdo a una segunda representación de color. Un segundo generador (205) incluye en la señal de imagen un indicador que los valores de píxel de intervalo dinámico alto se codifican. En algunos ejemplos, los valores de píxel de intervalo dinámico alto se pueden proporcionar en un segmento que alternativamente puede contener valores de píxel de intervalo dinámico alto o bajo, y el indicador pueden indicar que tipo de datos se incluyen. El enfoque por ejemplo puede facilitar la introducción de capacidad de intervalo dinámico alto en por ejemplo sistemas HDMI.
