Abstract

La presente invención proporciona un envasado plano mejorado de placas Petri y un método para producirlo con el fin de prolongar la vida útil y la conservación de la esterilidad de las placas Petri. El envasado plano está compuesto de una bolsa resistente a microbios, al gas, y a la humedad, de barrera alta y ópticamente transparente. Una pluralidad de placas Petri ubicadas una junto a la otra se colocan en una cavidad interior de la bolsa, después de lo cual la bolsa de envasa al vacío, se lava opcionalmente con gas inerte y posteriormente se sella con calor. La colocación e inmovilización de las placas Petri en la bolsa permiten una vida útil prolongada y la conservación de la esterilidad, tasas de rotura significativamente menores y una mejor visibilidad de las placas Petri por el usuario.
