Description

aunt.
MECHANISM OF HYDRAULIC DRIVING TO AUTOMATICALLY LOWER THE CAP AND / OR SEAT OF A RETREAT, AL DOWNLOAD THE WATER FROM THE TANK OF THE RETREAT FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to the means and devices used in the toilets; in particular, it refers to a novel hydraulic actuating mechanism used to lower the lid and toilet seat together in an automatic way, by operating the lever and causing the discharge of water from the toilet tank for the evacuation of human excreta. towards the sanitation facility; wherein said hydraulic driving mechanism is driven by hydraulic force by pressure differens, and being connected in the water supply network from the water supply source to the toilet tank.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Commonly used toilets are sanitary bodies used to collect and evacuate human excrement to the drainage and through a siphon closure of clean water prevents odors from leaving the cloaca to the inhabited spaces. The bodies of the toilets are configured in such a way that they comprise an upper mouth connected to a siphon element that opens into a lower discharge orifice where it is connected to the drainage ducts of the building, which in turn are connected to the drainage network municipal. In order to be able to adequately evacuate the human excreta towards the drainage, the toilets comprise a water accumulation tank connected in the upper and rear part of the toilet body, which is adapted to receive the lower end of said tank, which comprises a lower orifice of water discharge to the toilet and to a circuit of water distributed internally around the mouth of the toilet.
The water tank internally comprises a water supply control valve and releasable seal elements to seal the lower discharge orifice of the tank; the open valve allows the filling of the tank and releasable seal elements regulates the discharge of water to the toilet, to achieve generate a flow of water necessary to promote the discharge of excrement.
The toilet has a water supply system to the tank, which generally consists of a water supply pipe from a power source through the pipe network of the hydraulic installation; said water supply duct comprises a water passage control valve and a second duct connected in the lower part of the tank through which a volume of water is fed and which allows the passage of water until a calibrated float inside the tank triggers a mechanism that allows activating the shut-off valve inside the tank, once a predetermined volume has been reached inside the tank. A lever or actuating button connected to the releasable seal element, when actuated, allows said seal element to be released from the lower discharge orifice of the tank, allowing discharge flow to the toilet.
Currently, toilets include accessories that offer better comfort and hygiene for users; besides preventing the user from having direct contact with the surface of the toilet. These consist of a solid or cushioned seat and a lid that are connected to each other by means of pivot bolts that allow independent rotation of one and the other; the lid being arranged above the seat and comprising fastening elements adapted to receive fastening means that penetrate holes made in the rear and upper part of the toilet.
The lid cover cup consists of a solid body similar to the mouth (circular or oblong) and the seat has an annular or elliptical shape that follows the contour of the mouth of the cup; some seats have the shape of a horseshoe. This seat is used for people to sit on it and to avoid contact with the surface of the cup directly; in some cases the seat is cushioned to provide comfort; while the cover allows covering the mouth of the cup.
One of the main problems that arise in the use of toilets is the lack of good habits; Users generally do not lower the lid or the toilet seat, which causes inconveniences in the use by other users, whether male or female and more when it comes to use by men who do not usually lift the toilet. seat when using a toilet to urinate, which means that when urinating splash and wet the seat with urine, causing disgust in other users of the toilet and causing contamination of the lid that could be a source of infection for other users.
Already in the state of the art the same inventor (Cario Gómez Spain Collignon) has developed several devices to raise and lower the lid and toilet seat and has entered several applications that prove it, such as the patent application MX / a / 2011/002472 entitled device with pedal actuation mechanisms and with hydraulic actuator for lifting and lowering, respectively, the lid and seat of a toilet, characterized by comprising a structure adapted to be fixed on the back of the mouth of a toilet and adapted to accommodate rotationally a first axis and a second axis arranged collinearly and partially separated at their attached ends within the structure; said first shaft is attached at the laterally protruding end of said support-shell structure to the rear side portion of a toilet lid; said second shaft protrudes at its end on opposite side of said structure to be fixed on the rear side portion of a toilet seat; said first axis and second axis comprise at the colinear ends attached, a first cam and a second cam, respectively, adapted to receive and hold the end of a first cable and a second cable, which exit below the support structure and extends from the back of the toilet on one side to the front of it; the end of the first cable is connected to a first pedal element and the end of the second cable is connected to a second pedal element, independent of each other, but mounted on the same structure, to be operated with a foot; the device may comprise a hydraulic piston-operated mechanism for lowering the lid and seat automatically when the toilet water tank is discharged.
There is also the patent application MX / a / 2011/001905 entitled device with drive mechanisms for raising and lowering the lid and the seat of a toilet, independently or simultaneously, which will be understood a structure adapted to be fixed in the back of the mouth of a toilet, adapted to accommodate rotationally a first axis and a second axis arranged collinearly and partially separated at their ends attached within the structure; said first shaft is attached to the laterally protruding end of said support-shell structure on the rear side portion of the toilet lid; said second shaft protrudes at its end on opposite side of said structure to be fixed on the rear side portion of a toilet seat; said first and second axes comprise, at the adjacent colinear ends, a first mechanism consisting of a first and second gear, fixed in a recess of the corresponding ends of the first and second axes; adapted to engage with a third drive gear disposed below them on a fixed shaft, which is engaged and driven by a toothed element of upward stroke of a first hydraulic piston fed by pressurized water; comprising a second mechanism with hydraulic piston fed by pressurized water to rotate in the opposite direction said axes to automatically lower the lid and seat when the toilet tank is discharged.
There is also the granted patent MX286572B filed on May 18, 2009 and granted on April 19, 2011, which protects a hydraulic drive device for raising and lowering the lid cover and seat of a toilet, characterized by comprising a housing comprising two hollow chambers attached one left and one right, the chambers house a left rotary axis and a right rotary axis, respectively; both axes fixedly comprise a counterweight that can rotate together with the axis inside the cameras; each chamber also houses a left and a right elastic diaphragm, adjuncts and interacting with the counterweights; said diaphragms comprise at least one connecting pin where a supply pipe and / or working fluid outlet is connected to drive-push the counterweights when inflated with working fluid supplied by an automatic system or by a system of elements of contact drive, and cause the rotation of said axes connected to a lid and a toilet seat, respectively, and which comprise in the rear part a left and a right connection eyebrow with hole through which a pin is inserted. of left fixing and one right that is fixed in the ends of the rotating axes with the corresponding counterweights.
There is also the patent MX 285247 B filed on September 04, 2009 and granted on March 7, 2011, which protects improvements to hydraulic drive device to raise and lower the lid and seat of toilets, characterized by a left module and right which consist of a housing with a central transverse axis whose ends protrude, said housing is divided into three cavities; the end of the left axle is attached to the cover and the end of the right axle to the seat, the opposite end being fixed to a three-finned thrust plate, a fin being housed in each cavity of the casing, also housing a cylindrical diaphragm, when filling with water, they simultaneously press the fins causing a partial rotation of the axes that, when coupled to the lid and seat, lift them together or separately or lower them in their rotary movement when they are discharged; said diaphragms are fed through a check valve that allows the passage of feed water to fill the diaphragms and to discharge the diaphragms by means of a duct towards the toilet tank when the toilet button is operated; said left and right actuating valves with the foot are connected to a general water distributor connected to the water supply duct.
However, in all cases, the devices are complex and are designed to perform two functions, one to lift the lid and / or the seat together or separately and another to lower them; but in all cases the device consists of an assembly that involves a structural design that associates the cover, the seat and the mechanisms and elements housed in a housing formed by sections of cover and seat, to drive axes coupled to said cover and seat. In other words, the devices do not work for a cover and seat of conventional toilets, because these devices must bring included and with special designs the lid and the seat.
In view of this situation, the hydraulic drive mechanism was developed to automatically lower the lid and seat of a toilet, by discharging the water from the toilet tank, which can be operated and fitted in conventional toilets where covers and seats are installed. conventional without special designs.

And all those qualities and objectives that will become apparent when making a description of the present invention supported by the illustrated modalities.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION In general, the hydraulic actuating mechanism for automatically lowering the lid and the seat of a toilet, when discharging the water from the toilet tank, in accordance with the present invention, consists of an actuator driven by hydraulic force consisting of a cylindrical body in "T" defining a threaded lower end adapted to receive in threaded form a coupling element of the end of a water supply pipe from a water supply source, an intermediate lateral branch with threaded end adapted to receive a coupling element from the end of a water pipe to the toilet water tank; and a threaded upper end adapted to receive with a perimetral seal member therebetween, a hollow cylindrical intermediate body with internal cord and internal transverse wall with a central hole; which in turn receives at its upper end with a perimeter seal element, the lower threaded pin of a cylindrical upper cover with a vertical central hole of threaded wall, adapted to receive in threaded form the threaded lower end of a fixing element hollow mechanism to the toilet.
The internally described assembly houses a lower base next to the lower end of the cylindrical body in the shape of a "T" comprising a lower annular edge with a vertical hole in communication with a transverse hole and a vertical cylindrical projection with a cavity at its upper end adapted for pressing or threaded coupling the lower end of a thrust rod passing through the central hole of the internal transverse wall of said intermediate cylindrical body and by the lower end of said hollow fastening element of the mechanism to the toilet, and at the upper end of which comprises a cavity adapted to receive under pressure or in a threaded form the lower end of a vertical drive shaft that passes through said hollow fixing element of the mechanism to the toilet; the upper end of said vertical drive arrow protrudes beyond the end of said hollow locking element of the mechanism to the toilet and is threaded to receive in a threaded form a drive cam which will make physical contact with the lower and rear edge of the lid and conventional seat of a toilet to drive them and with the force exerted cause their fall to cover the mouth of the toilet.
Said hollow locking element of the mechanism to the toilet, consists of a hollow cylindrical bolt with threaded lower end to be threaded in the vertical central hole of threaded wall of said cylindrical upper cover and at the upper end comprising an eyebrow as a stop element that is housed in the cavity of a fastening element of the lid and seat to the toilet; said hollow fixing element of the mechanism to the toilet passes through one of the cavities of the fastening elements of the lid and seat and of one of the holes made in the rear and upper part of the toilet to fix the mechanism to the toilet and to the toilet. at the same time cover and seat to the toilet.
Said hollow fastening element further comprises a rope in a portion proximate the upper end, adapted to receive in a threaded form a nut that will be the one that will press and fix against the lower surface of the toilet.
Said push rod comprises a spring element that abuts on the internal transverse part of said intermediate cylindrical body, and serves as a return means to return in lower base-push-shaft assembly vertical-drive shaft-drive cam to its rest position when there is no force by the flow of water through the lower end of said body in the form of "T".
The mechanism assembly comprises a pressure indicating fastener element which engages externally between the "T" shaped body, the hollow intermediate cylindrical body and the cylindrical top cover.
When there is less pressure in the toilet water tank due to the toilet drain action, ie when the lever or drain button of the tank is operated towards the toilet for waste discharge, a pressure differential is created inside the mechanism allowing the water that comes from the water supply pipe from the supply source connected to the lower end of the cylindrical body in "T", to offer greater pressure, causing the water to move upwards the lower base which has coupled the push rod and therefore is also moved upwards and when connected to the vertical drive shaft comprising at its upper end the drive cam, also moves up by pushing the rear edge of the lid and seat to push and lower them to cover the mouth of the toilet; the water continues on its way through the lateral branch where the water supply duct is connected to the water tank of the toilet to fill it; once the toilet tank fills, the pressure inside the actuator is equalized and the spring element returns the lower base-push shaft-vertical drive shaft-drive cam assembly to its initial rest position.
Said lower base where the push rod is coupled comprises said perimetral seal element which preferably consists of a "Neoprene O'ring V, which helps it to maintain the water by exerting pressure on the lower face of said lower base of the stem.
When the toilet water tank fills up and closes its water passage gate, the pressure differential is zero inside the mechanism assembly; and the spring element that surrounds the push rod facilitates the return and repositioning of said rod to its starting position; the mimos that is generated in the arrow and in the drive cam that is returned to its starting position by the effect of the spring element.
In addition so that the assembly of the lower base-vertical arrow of drive-cam drive can be moved to its starting position and this is faster; the vertical hole in communication with the transverse hole allows the passage of a volume of water that allows it to move more easily to the starting position.
In another embodiment of the invention, the lower base, the push rod, the vertical drive shaft and the drive cam form a unitary body, ie a single piece.
Therefore, what is described above is summarized in that the assembly of the lower base where the push rod engages in which the drive shaft engages in turn and in this the drive cam, has a vertical displacement, towards up when the pressure differential is different from zero, and down when there is a pressure equilibrium and the pressure differential is zero.
The mechanism as described allows to lower the lid and the seat simultaneously when both are in vertical position or to lower only the lid when it is in vertical position and the seat is in a horizontal position around the mouth of the toilet.
In another embodiment of the invention, at least one element is included for braking and cushioning the fall of the lid and the toilet seat which is disposed above the surface of the mouth of the toilet to cushion the fall of the lid and the seat.
One of the modalities of said at least one element for braking and damping the fall of the lid and the seat, preferably consists of a pair of pneumatic hemispheres that house a volume of air, which are fixed on the toilet at the edge of the back in the area where the lid and seat are fixed. Said pair of pneumatic hemispheres define a dome-shaped wall and a flat horizontal base of greater thickness and a little more rigid, which may comprise an adhesive, a double-sided tape or some other means of fixing or joining on the toilet; said horizontal flat base defines a central cavity and a hole for air inlet and outlet, where a membrane is provided that has a small hole that allows the slow exit of the contained air to brake and cushion the fall of the seat and the lid when they fall about them; and once it is empty before the action of the weight of the lid or the seat; when said lid and / or seat are raised, they are rapidly replenished by the configuration of the membrane acting as a check type valve, since said membrane comprises an unfixed end which allows it to remain in position when the hemisphere is full of liquid. air, letting it out slowly through the central hole and when it is empty or half empty it allows the force of air intake by effect of the internal vacuum, lift the unbound end of the membrane to generate a larger hole that allows a higher speed and incoming air flow for fast filling.
One of said hemispheres is arranged below the seat, to brake and cushion its fall and the second hemisphere is disposed behind the seat and behind the cover, requiring an auxiliary lever arm to brake and cushion the fall of the cover. Said lever element consists of a fixing plate with a hole to receive the same fixing means with which the lid and the seat are fixed to the toilet, so that said lever element is fixed on the toilet being behind the lid and the seat and a lever arm fixed pivotally to said fixing plate extending towards the front; wherein the section of the zone proximal to the pivotal joint is disposed over said second hemisphere and the end section extends to be disposed on the seat and under the cover; so that when the lid is raised and lowered by the effect of the hydraulic actuating mechanism to automatically lower it when the water tank is discharged, the lever arm receives the underside of the seat and being on said second hemisphere is braked and it dampens the calda, while the air comes out of the interior of said hemisphere.
In another embodiment of the invention, said at least one element for braking and damping the fall of the lid and the seat consists of a pair of brake assemblies one for the seat and one for the lid. Both have the same configuration and consist of a base plate having an elongated slot to receive the fixing means that fix the lid and the seat and one of them also to the hydraulic operating mechanism to lower the lid and the seat; said brake assemblies are then fixed with the same fastening means of the lid and the seat and are arranged behind them.
At the end of the plate a housing is fixedly housing and fixing a hydraulic brake comprising a central hollow adapted to receive the end of a bolt, whose opposite end is connected to a monolithic lever arm defining a hollow body receiving said bolt, a bar perpendicular to this hollow body and a second hollow bar perpendicular to the first bar, so that an angled arm is defined. Said housing comprises a pair of lower cavities adapted to receive and fix the end of a spring element that surrounds said hollow body and whose opposite end of said spring element is housed in said second hollow bar of the angled arm. Said spring element allows to keep the lever arm in an upright position.
One of said lever arms (specifically the second hollow bar) of one of said brake assemblies is disposed below the seat and the other below the lid and on the seat. Both are held up by the effect of the spring element and when the seat or cover or both fall when pushed by the actuating cam of the hydraulic drive to lower them, ie when the lever or drain button of the tank is operated towards the toilet for the discharge of waste; said lever arms (specifically the second hollow bar) stop the seat or the cover or both braking its fall and making it slow, overcoming the force of the hydraulic brake and the spring element. When the lid and / or the seat are raised, said spring element returns to said lever arms to an upright position.
In order to better understand the characteristics of the invention, the present description, as an integral part thereof, is accompanied by the drawings, which are illustrative but not limitative, which are described below.

Where when there is less pressure in the water tank 9 of the toilet 34 due to the toilet drain action, ie when the drain button 41 is operated towards the toilet for waste discharge, a pressure differential is created inside the mechanism 1, allowing the water coming from the water supply pipe 5 from the source of supply connected at the lower end of the cylindrical body at "T" 2, offer greater pressure, causing the water to move upwards in assembly of the lower base 21 coupled to the push rod 26, which in turn is connected to the vertical drive shaft 29 which at its upper end comprises the drive cam 31 (see Figures 1 and 4) which will push the back edge of the lid 32 and seat 33 to drive and lower them to cover the mouth of the toilet 34; the water continues its way by the lateral branch where the water supply pipe 8 is connected to the water tank 9 to fill it.
Once the toilet tank fills, the pressure inside the actuator 1 is equalized and the spring element 40 returns the lower base assembly 21-push rod 26-vertical drive shaft 29-drive cam 31 (see figures 1 4) to its initial resting position.
With reference to Figures 7 to 7d, the elements for braking and damping the fall of the lid and the seat consist of a pair of pneumatic hemispheres 43a and 43b that house a volume of air, which are fixed on the toilet 34 in the edge of the back by the area where the lid 32 and the seat 33 are fixed 33. Said pair of pneumatic hemispheres 43a and 43b define a dome-shaped wall 44 and a horizontal flat base 45 of greater thickness and a little more rigid, which may comprise an adhesive, a double-sided tape or some other means of fixing or joining (not shown) to be fixed on the toilet 34; said horizontal flat base 45 defines a central cavity 46 and a hole for air inlet and outlet 47, where a membrane 48 having a small hole 49 is provided which allows the slow exit of the contained air to brake and dampen the seat stock 33 and the lid 32 when they fall on them; and once it is empty before the action of the weight of the lid or the seat; when said lid and / or seat are raised, they are rapidly replenished by the configuration of the membrane 48 which acts as a check type valve, since said membrane comprises a non-fixed end 48a that allows it to remain in position when the hemisphere is filled with air, letting it out slowly through the central hole and when it is empty or half empty it allows the force of air intake by effect of the internal vacuum, lift the unattached end 48a of the membrane 48 to generate a hole of greater dimension that allows a higher speed and incoming air flow for fast filling.
The hemisphere 43a is arranged below the seat 33, for braking and cushioning its fall and the second hemisphere 43b is disposed behind the seat 33 and behind the cover 32 (see figs 7a and 7 d), requiring a lever arm auxiliary 50 for braking and damping the fall of the lid 32. Said lever element 50 consists of a fixing plate 51 with a hole for receiving the same fixing means with which the lid and the seat are fixed to the toilet 34, so that said lever element 50 is fixed on the toilet being behind the lid 32 and the seat 33 and a lever arm 52 fixed pivotally to said fixing plate 51 extending towards the front; wherein the section of the zone proximal to the pivotal joint is disposed on said second hemisphere 43b and the end section extends to be disposed on the seat 33 and below the cover 32; so that when the lid 32 is raised and lowered by the effect of the hydraulic driving mechanism to automatically lower it when the water tank is discharged, the lever arm 52 receives the lower face of the seat 32 and being on said second hemisphere 43b brakes and dampens the fall, while the air comes out from inside said hemisphere 43b.
Referring to Figs. 8 to 9b, said at least one element for braking and damping the fall of the lid and the seat consists of a pair of brake assemblies 53a and 53b one for the seat 33 and another for the lid 32. Both they have the same configuration and consist of a base plate 54 having an elongated slot 55 for receiving the fixing means fixing the cover 32 and the seat 33 and one of them also to the hydraulic operating mechanism for lowering the cover and the seat; said brake assemblies are then fixed with the same hollow fixing means 20 of the lid 32 and the seat 33 and are disposed behind them.
At the end of the plate 54 there is fixedly a housing 56 for housing and fixing a hydraulic brake 57 comprising a central recess 58 adapted to receive the end of a bolt 59, the opposite end of which is connected to a monolithic lever arm 60 which defines a hollow body 61 receiving said bolt 59, a perpendicular bar 62 to this hollow body 61 and a second hollow bar 63 perpendicular to the first bar 62, so that an angled arm is defined. Said casing 56 comprises a pair of lower cavities 64 adapted to receive and fix the end of a spring element 65 that surrounds said hollow body 61 and whose opposite end of said spring element is housed in said second hollow bar 63 of the angled arm. Said spring element 65 makes it possible to keep the lever arm in an upright position.
Said second hollow bar 63 of the brake assembly 53a is disposed below the seat 33 and said second hollow bar 63 of the second brake assembly 53b below the lid 32 and on the seat. Both remain erect due to the effect of the spring element 65 and when the seat or the cover or both fall when they are pushed by the actuating cam of the hydraulic actuating mechanism (see figures 1 to 6) to lower them, that is to say when the actuator is actuated. lever or drain button of the tank towards the toilet for the discharge of the waste; said second hollow bars 63 stop the seat 33 or the cover 32 or both, braking its fall and making it slow, overcoming the force the hydraulic brake 57 and the spring element 65. When the cover 32 and / or the seat 33 are raised, said spring element 65 returns said lever arms to an upright position to receive the lid and / or the seat again.
Said brake elements 53a and 53b additionally comprise in one of their modes an element for adjusting the resistance 66 of said spring element 65 and consisting of a knob 67 with a spindle 68 that penetrates the hollow of the housing 56 and Thread up lever arm 60.
In cases where the lid 33 and seat 32 are heavy, the knob 67 is turned to the right and the spring element 64 is tightened, making an adjustment of more pressure so that they lower more slowly. And in the case where the lid 33 and seat 32 are light, the knob 67 is turned to the left reducing pressure on the spring element 65 allowing them to fall faster.
