Abstract

The present invention claims an efficient biotechnological process for the reduction of Cr (VI) with the purpose of treating, ex situ, industrial effluents polluted with chromium, which is performed in a reactor of the bubble column type using the Aspergellus tubingensis strain Ed8, a first process being based on the use of cultures with biomass and a second subprocess based on the use of biomass-free culture supernatants; said subprocesses may be alternative or sequential; both subprocesses use organic compounds inducing, in the strain Ed8, the production of molecules responsible of the Cr (VI) transformation.
