Abstract

Se describe una estructura de alimentación que puede ser usada en conjunto con un tanque de sedimentación para separar sólidos y líquidos, que pueden estar en un lodo, uno del otro. La estructura de alimentación comprende una cámara de alimentación que aloja una pared central. Por lo menos un puerto que está posicionado en la base de la cámara. Una rueda de la alimentación que es sustancialmente concéntrica con la cámara de alimentación está también alojada. La cámara de alimentación se encuentra en comunicación con la rueda de alimentación, en donde el lodo fluye a través de dicho puerto para acceder a la rueda de alimentación. Una salida está posicionada en la rueda de alimentación (de tal manera que cerca del fondo de la rueda de alimentación). El lodo puede fluir a través de la salida dentro del tanque de alimentación.
