Abstract

Un dispositivo para manejo y transporte de materiales incluye un vehículo guiado automatizado configurado para utilizarse con un acarreador. El vehículo guiado automatizado incluye un sensor que tiene una fuente de luz y un escáner para recibir una reflexión desde la fuente de luz. Cuando el parachoques del vehículo se mueve hacia el sensor, el blanco reflectante del vehículo se mueve en una posición reflectante y cuando el parachoques del acarreador se mueve hacia el sensor, el blanco reflectante del acarreador se mueve en una posición reflectante. El movimiento de cualquier parachoques en la posición reflectante genera una señal desde el sensor hacia un controlador para controlar el movimiento del vehículo guiado automatizado en respuesta al movimiento de cualquier parachoques.
