Abstract
La presente invención proporciona métodos mejorados para producir una solución que contiene polisacáridos capsulares Streptococcus pneumoniae 19A aislados de elevado peso molecular. En ciertos métodos, un cultivo de fermentación de células bacteriales Streptococcus pneumoniae que producen polisacáridos capsulares serotipo 19A es fermentado por menos de 6 horas antes de que las células bacteriales sean usadas y se recolecten los polisacáridos capsulares. En otros métodos, el CO2 es suministrado al cultivo de fermentación.
