Abstract
Un aparato para generar una señal de audio binaural comprende un desmultiplexor (401) y un decodificador (403) que recibe datos de audio que comprenden una señal de audio del canal M de audio que es una mezcla reductora de la señal de audio del canal N, y datos de parámetros espacial para el mezclado ascendente de la señal de audio del canal M a la señal de audio del canal N. Un procesador de conversión (411) convierte los parámetros espaciales de los datos de parámetros espaciales en los primeros parámetros binaurales en respuesta a al menos una función de transferencia perceptual binaural. Un procesador de matriz (409) convierte la señal de audio del canal M en la primera señal estéreo en respuesta a los primeros parámetros binaurales. Un filtro de estéreo (415, 417) genera la señal de audio binaural filtrando la primera señal estéreo. Los coeficientes de filtro para el filtro de estéreo se determinan en respuesta a la al menos una función de transferencia perceptual binaural mediante un procesador de coeficiente (419). La combinación de la conversión/procesamiento de parámetros y el filtrado permite generar una señal binaural de alta calidad con baja complejidad.
