Abstract

Un dispositivo giratorio de transferencia de presión utiliza un rotor generalmente cilíndrico, de canales múltiples, (15) que da vueltas con sus caras de extremo planas yuxtapuestas con superficies de extremo planas de un par de cubiertas de extremo laterales (19, 21) en las cuales se proporcionan pasajes de entrada y salida. El diseño es tal que hay solamente rampas oblicuas (65) en los pasajes en el lado de alta presión que crean flujo de líquido direccional para ocasionar revolución de rotor en la dirección deseada. Pasajes (27ª, 27b) en el lado de baja presión pueden configurarse tal que haya entrada y descarga de flujo esencialmente longitudinal de líquido entre loa canales y los pasajes, o pasajes (71) pueden construirse para crear flujo direccional que ligeramente retarda revolución del rotor en tal dirección deseada.
