Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a azufre modificado que comprende azufre y un organosilano que contiene polisulfuro en una cantidad en el intervalo de 0.3 a 25% en peso con base en el peso de azufre, en el azufre modificado la cantidad combinada de azufre y organosilano que contiene polisulfuro integra desde 90 a 100% en peso del azufre modificado obtenido y en donde el organosilano que contiene polisulfuro es de la fórmula molecular general (1): (X3Si)mH(2n+1-m)Cn-Sa-Cn´H(2n´+1m´)(SiX´3)m´; en donde a es un número entero en el intervalo desde 2 a 8, X y X´ cada uno son, independientemente, un grupo hidrolizable, n y n´ cada uno son, independientemente, un número entero en el intervalo desde 1 a 4, y m y m´ cada uno son, independientemente, un número entero en el intervalo desde 1 a (2n+1). La invención además proporciona un proceso para preparar el azufre modificado, un producto de cemento de azufre que comprende el azufre modificado y un proceso para prepararlo.
