Abstract
Un método y aparato para procesar lotes para retirar el revestimiento de orgánicos en desechos metálicos, y/o gasificar los orgánicos de ciertos tipos de material residual (que incluye biomasa, desecho sólido municipal, desecho industrial, y fango). El aparato es adecuado para uso en un horno giratorio de una sola entrada basculante por lotes (1) del tipo usado para fundir el desecho metálico en la industria del aluminio. El aparato usa un quemador en el horno giratorio basculante, pero no necesariamente funde el desecho metálico. Esto preferiblemente opera abajo de la temperatura de fundido de desecho metálico (<1400 F) y debajo del nivel estoiquiométrico (más específicamente < 12% de oxígeno) para quemar parcialmente el orgánico en el horno giratorio basculante. Los orgánicos gasificados salen del horno en un circuito cerrado completo que no permite que el aire entre (embarcar) en los gases de conducto. Estos gases orgánicos llenos (gases sintéticos) se incineran totalmente en un oxidante térmico separado (5) donde un quemador estoiquiómetrico (6) utiliza ya sea gas natura! o combustible líquido para quemar el gas sintético. El sistema puede identificar en donde los orgánicos se gasifican completamente, y el desecho metálico se limpia completamente.
