Abstract

Se proporciona un método para medir contaminantes hidrofóbicos distribuidos en la suspensión de pulpa de papel. El método comprende: adicionar un tinte fluorescente (18) a la suspensión de pulpa de papel (12) que incluye fibras y contaminantes hidrofóbicos, el tinte (18) que interactúa con los contaminantes hidrofóbicos de la suspensión de pulpa de papel (12), someter la suspensión de pulpa de papel (12) que incluye las fibras, los contaminantes hidrofóbicos y el tinte (18) a luz caracterizada por una longitud de onda que excita el tinte (18) para producir señales de emisión de luz; y detectar las señales de emisión de luz y evaluar las señales para medir los contaminantes hidrofóbicos.
