Abstract

La invencion se refiere a un metodo de tratamiento de un efluente que contiene o no patogenos, con el fin de reducir el impacto del mismo en el medio ambiente o para hacer el mismo potable. El metodo se caracteriza porque comprende las siguientes etapas: i. Introducir el efluente en recipiente que contengan electrodos, ii. agregar al efluente una pequena cantidad de un agente de tratamiento que genere iones hidroxilos con un pH entre 6 y 10, y iii. aplicar entre los electrodos una corriente continua durante un tiempo determinado de maximo 30 minutos.
