Abstract

La presente invencion proporciona polipeptidos gram negativos novedosos que exhiben actividad 3-O-desacilasa del lipido A y son capaces de modificar y/o destoxificar LPS gram negativos. La presente invencion tambien proporciona bacterias gram negativas, lipopolisacaridos (LPS) de bacterias gram negativas y composiciones que comprenden los LPS, los cuales se proporcionan o se tratan con una actividad 3-O-desasilasa de acuerdo con la invencion, y los cuales se pueden utilizar para fines farmaceuticos y/o veterinarios, en particular para la preparacion de vacunas de celula total a acelulares, en contra de gram negativos patogenicos tales como por ejemplo, Bordetella pertusis, Bordetella parapertusis y Bordetella bronchiseptica.
