Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a aparato para la medición de la distancia de frenado de un vehículo de rieles que comprende: medios para detectar la posición del vehículo de rieles en una longitud dada de vía; medios para detectar la velocidad, conectados electrónicamente a los medios de detección de la posición para detectar la proporción de cambio de la posición del vehículo de rieles en un tiempo; medios para aplicar una fuerza de frenado al vehículo de rieles, conectados electrónicamente a los medios de detección de posición para aplicar los frenos del vehículo de rieles en la localización preseleccionada; medios de cálculo de la distancia conectados electrónicamente a los medios para detectar la posición, para calcular la distancia entre una primera posición, la cual es una posición en la que se aplica el freno y una segunda posición la cual es la posición subsecuente a la aplicación de los frenos cuando los medios de detección de velocidad no registran movimiento del vehículo de rieles.
