Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un dispositivo para el almacenamiento subterráneo de gas licuado bajo presión a temperatura ambiente, que en estado líquido tiene una densidad inferior a aquella del agua y que no es miscible con la misma, al interior de una cavidad formada en un macizo impregnado con agua, aprovechándose la presión hidrostática al nivel de la cavidad para equilibrar la presión de licuación del gas, en que la cavidad lleva un pozo para reunir y extraer el agua de achicamiento, y habiéndose provisto disposiciones para llenar con agua cuando menos un tubo de servicio en una altura suficiente para asegurar el equilibrio hidrostático con la presión que prevalece en la cavidad, caracterizado porque el pozo presenta en su altura dos partes de diferentes secciones, una parte superior con sección transversal grande y una parte inferior con sección transversal pequeña, y en el cual el orificio de un tubo que debe llenarse con agua está situado en la cercanía de la unión de las dos partes.
