Abstract
La présente invention concerne des compositions et des procédés pour une utilisation en diagnostic médical et en suivi de patient. Elle concerne plus particulièrement un gel biocompatible comprenant des nanoparticules et/ou des agrégats de nanoparticules, i) la nanoparticule et/ou l'agrégat de nanoparticules comprenant un matériau inorganique comprenant au moins un élément métallique présentant un nombre atomique z d'au moins 25, chacun parmi ladite nanoparticule et/ou ledit agrégat de nanoparticules étant recouvert d'un revêtement biocompatible ; ii) la concentration en nanoparticules et/ou en agrégats de nanoparticules étant d'environ ou inférieure à 0,5 % (p/p) ; et iii) la viscosité apparente à 2s-1 du gel comprenant des nanoparticules et/ou des agrégats de nanoparticules étant située entre environ 0,1 pa.S et environ 1000 pa.S lorsqu'elle est mesurée entre 20°c et 37°c. La composition de l'invention permet généralement la délimitation et la visualisation d'au moins 40 % du tissu biologique cible lorsque ledit tissu est observé à l'aide d'un équipement d'imagerie par rayons x.
