Abstract

This invention consists of a new design of the basic element structure (FIG. 1) of the active meta-material over a very wide frequency band for applications in the field of telecommunication antennas and radar systems operating in a band frequency between 6.5 and 16.5 ghz (Figure 2). To achieve this result we opted for the design of a particular structure of the basic element of this meta-material. This structure consists in depositing two sleeve resonators (known as "split ring resonators" or "srr") on one face of a square strip of a dielectric material whose commercial reference is fr.4 and whose thickness is 1.5mm and the relative dielectric permittivity is 4. The other side has three thin parallel conductor ribbons spaced a very small distance apart.
