Abstract

La présente invention concerne un document de sécurité (11) comportant au moins une couche de papier (4) qui est recouverte, sur ses deux faces, d'une couche de matière plastique (2, 3, 6, 7, 13) transparente. On obtient ainsi une carte, en particulier une carte d'identification, très simple et particulièrement sûre par le fait que la couche de papier (4) est constituée d'un papier de sécurité comportant au moins une caractéristique de sécurité (5, 8, 10, 15, 16) et par le fait que les couches en matière plastique (2, 3, 6, 7, 13) sont constituées d'une matière thermoplastique qui est fondue pour former une enveloppe (13) transparente seulement sous l'effet d'une pression élevée et/ou d'une température élevée.
