A fuel tank installation, especially vehicle fuel tank installation, comprises a fuel tank (10), said fuel tank (10) being connected to a vacuum source (12) via a conduit (16), and a vacuum tank (18), said vacuum tank (18) being mounted into said conduit (16) between said vacuum source (12) and said fuel tank (10),(Figure 1).<IMAGE>
