Abstract
The invention consists in that the excitation windings of the three-phase machine are connected from 2 complementary parts to form a winding. This shortens the copper wire length required for the stator windings of the three-phase machines. Because of this considerable copper saving, the invention enables the production of less expensive and more efficient machines. The invention relates primarily to conventional three-phase machines with distributed windings. When looking at the inside of these machines, especially in the case of high-speed rotors with a few pole pairs, you notice the amount of copper wire that spreads on both sides of the stand and that has a negative impact on production costs and efficiency

1DESCRIPTION Figure 1 of the system illustrates the copper expenditure for one of the 3 windings of a three-phase machine with distributed windings. A stator with 12 slots and 3 windings U, -W and V is used as an example. In each case 4 slots of one phase are occupied by the winding U1-U2. When three-phase current is switched on, the magnetic field is created, which draws the rotor. By reversing the polarity of the winding W, the 3 phases work together. The linear stator and the rotor can be formed into a circle and then form a three-phase machine with a pair of poles. Figure 2 of the system illustrates the invention with slot assignment and winding of the machine. This new assignment reduces the passive copper wire required by half. The comparison of the windings in Figures 1 and 2 demonstrates the difference. The ratio of the copper wire lengths is 2: 1. The passive part of the copper wire connects the active parts in the grooves. The winding on Figure 2 consists of 2 complementary interconnected parts. This creates the required magnetic field, which draws the rotor. The only difference from the configuration in Figure 1 is a 90 degree shift of the rotating field. all the electromagnetic properties of the winding in Figure 1 are retained. The only difference is the passive copper wire length, which is halved by the invention. This reduces the copper losses and increases the efficiency of the machine, Figure 3 shows an economy winding for a stand with 24 slots. The three-phase machine has one pole pair. The winding of one phase occupies 8 slots. The rotor in the middle can be a synchronous or squirrel-cage rotor. Figure 4 shows an economy winding for a stand with 24 slots and 2 pole pairs. The winding of one phase occupies 4 slots. The rotor in the middle can be a synchronous or squirrel-cage rotor. The windings can also be connected in series. As with conventional machines, windings can be combined to form strands for several pole pairs. 1
Copper economy winding The distributed economy winding requires at least 12 slots for one pole pair, while the existing LU101030 distributed winding needs 6 slots. The examples in Figures 3 and 4 only show internal rotor machines. The same approaches and conditions also apply to machines with a fixed inner stand and movable outer rotors, regardless of whether they are synchronous or asynchronous machines.
