Abstract

음성/영상 전송 시스템에 있어서 각 수신기의 선택적 디스플레이에 도움이 되는 프로그램 가이드 정보를 형성하는 방법은 가이드 정보의 유형에 따른 상이한 데이터블록에 프로그램 가이드 정보를 배열하는 것을 포함한다. 이러한 데이터블록은 각 채널을 설명하는 채널정보(CSSMi)를 포함한다. 이러한 블록내의 각 CSSMi는 채널 정보 고객 서비스 시스템 바이트(CICSS)을 포함하고, 이 바이트는 CSSMi와 연관된 채널과 관련된 조건부 액세스 정보를 포함한다.

Claims (11)

  1. 복수의 음성/영상 프로그램과, 상기 각 음성/영상 프로그램을 설명하는 정보와 스케줄링 시간에 관련된 데이터를 포함하는 프로그램 가이드 신호를 운반하는 방법에 있어서, 복수의 음성/영상 프로그램에 해당하는 복수의 각 A/V 패킷 신호를 제공하는 단계와; 각 음성/영상 프로그램을 설명하는 정보와 스케줄링 시간에 관련된 데이터를 형성하는 단계와; 소정의 기준에 따라 상기 형성된 데이터로부터 데이터를 선택함으로써 특별 프로그램 가이드를 생성하는 단계와; 상기 특별 프로그램 가이드로부터 각 특별 가이드 패킷신호를 형성하는 단계와; 추가적인 소정의 기준에 따라 상기 형성된 데이터로부터 데이터를 선택함으로써 주 프로그램 가이드를 생성하고, 각 특별가이드와 관련된 각 조건부 액세스 코드워드(PG_CSS)를 포함하는 각 특별 프로그램 가이드 패킷 신호를 설명하는 정보와 스케줄링 시간에 관련된 데이터를 포함하고, 상기 조건부 액세스 코드워드는 대응하는 특별 가이드 정보의 디스플레이의 허가 또는 배제를 위해 각 수신기에 의해 사용될 수 있으며; 상기 주프로그램 가이드로부터의 주 가이드 패킷신호를 형성하는 단계와; 상기 주 가이드 패킷신호와, 상기 A/V패킷신호를 갖는 상기 특별 가이드 패킷신호를 다중화 함으로써 전송 또는 기억을 위해 다중화된 신호를 형성하는 단계를 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 각 음성/영상 프로그램을 설명하는 정보와 스케줄링 시간에 관련된 데이터를 형성하는 단계는 각각의 상기 음성/영상 프로그램과 각각의 조건부 액세스 코드워드(CI_CSS)를 관련시키고, 상기 조건부 액세스 코드워드는 영상/음성 프로그램의 각각의 상기 프로그램 가이드 정보의 디스플레이를 허가하거나 또는 배제하기 위해 수신기에 의해 사용될 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 각 음성/영상 프로그램과 조건부 액세스 코드워드(CI_CSS)를 연관시키는 단계는 프로그램 가이드의 무조건 디스플레이를 위해 할당된 모든 음성/영상 프로그램과 범용 조건부 액세스 코드워드를 연관시키는 단계를 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 사용자 특별 조건부 액세스 코드워드를 생성하는 단계와; 상기 사용자 특별 조건부 액세스 코드워드를 포함한 조건부 액세스 패킷신호를 형성하는 단계와; 상기 주 가이드 패킷신호와, 상기 특별 가이드 패킷신호 및 상기 A/V 패킷신호를 이용하여 조건부 액세스 패킷신호를 다중화하는 단계를 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 다중화된 신호를 검출하여 상기 주 가이드 패킷신호와 상기 특별 가이드 패킷신호를 선택하는 단계와; 상기 주 가이드 패킷신호로부터 주프로그램 가이드 정보를 추출하여 메모리에 주프로그램 가이드 정보를 저장하는 단계와; 상기 특별 가이드 패킷신호로부터 특별 프로그램 가이드 정보를 추출하여 메모리에 특별 프로그램 가이드 정보를 저장하는 단계와; 사용자에게 특별 조건부 액세스 코드워드를 제공하는 단계와; 특별 프로그램 가이드 정보의 디스플레이를 위해 주프로그램 가이드 정보를 처리하고, 각각의 특별 프로그램 가이드와 관련된 조건부 액세스 코드워드(PG_CSS)와 상기 사용자 특별 조건부 액세스 코드워드를 비교하고, 상기 대응하는 조건부 액세스 코드워드(PG_CSS)와 사용자 특별 조건부 액세스 코드워드가 소정의 차이점을 갖는 특별 가이드 정보의 디스플레이를 배제하는 단계를 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  6. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 다중화된 신호를 검출하고, 상기 주 가이드 패킷신호를 선택하는 단계와; 상기 주 가이드 패킷신호로부터 주프로그램 가이드 정보를 추출하여 메모리에 주프로그램 가이드 정보를 기억시키는 단계와; 사용자에게 특별 조건부 액세스 코드워드를 제공하는 단계와; 프로그램 가이드 정보의 디스플레이를 위해 주프로그램 가이드 정보를 처리하고, 각각의 음성/영상 프로그램과 관련된 조건부 액세스 코드워드(CI_CSS)와 상기 사용자 특별 조건부 액세스 코드워드를 비교하고, 상기 대응하는 조건부 액세스 코드워드(CI_CSS)와 사용자 특별 조건부 액세스 코드워드가 소정의 차이점을 갖는 음성/영상 프로그램의 프로그램 가이드 정보의 디스플레이를 배제하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  7. 패킷 음성/영상 신호에 이용할 수 있는 프로그램에 관련되고 아울러 각 조건부 액세스 코드(CI_CSSi)를 포함하는 프로그램에 관련된 정보를 갖는 주프로그램 가이드 패킷신호를 포함한 패킷 음성/영상 신호를 수신하기 위한 장치에 있어서, 상기 패킷 음성/영상 신호를 검출하기 위한 수단(6,7)과; 메모리(15) 수단과; 상기 주프로그램 가이드 패킷신호를 선택하고, 상기 메모리 수단에 상기 주프로그램 가이드 패킷신호에 포함된 프로그램 가이드 정보를 저장하는 전송 프로세서(8)와; 사용자 특별 조건부 액세스 코드(CA_CSS)의 소스(14)와; 프로그램 가이드 정보를 디스플레이하기 위한 디스플레이 프로세서(17.19,22)를 포함하는데, 상기 디스플레이 프로세서는 각 프로그램 정보의 CI_CSSi와 상기 CA_CSS를 액세스하기 위한 수단을 포함하고, CI_CSSi와 CA_CSS 간의 유사/차이점에 응답하여, 프로그램 가이드 디스플레이에 대응하는 프로그램 정보를 디스플레이 하거나 디스플레이하지 않는 것을 특징으로 하는 패킷 음성/영상 신호 수신장치.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 패킷 음성/영상 신호는 복수의 특별 프로그램 가이드 패킷신호를 포함하고, 상기 주프로그램 가이드 패킷신호는 각 특별 프로그램 가이드 조건부 액세스 코드(PG_CSSi)를 포함하는 특별 프로그램 가이드 패킷 신호에 관련된 정보를 포함하며, 상기 디스플레이 프로세서는 PG_CSSi와 CA_CSS간의 유사/차이점에 응답하여 대응하는 특별 프로그램 가이드를 디스플레이 하거나 디스플레이하지 않는 수단을 추가로 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 패킷 음성/영상 신호 수신장치.
  9. 주프로그램 가이드 패킷신호와 복수의 특별 프로그램 가이드 패킷신호를 포함하는 패킷 음성/영상 신호를 수신하는 장치로서, 상기 주 프로그램 가이드 패킷신호가 각각의 특별 프로그램 가이드 조건부 액세스 코드(PG_CSSi)를 포함하는 특별 프로그램 가이드 패킷신호에 관련된 정보를 포함하는 장치에 있어서, 상기 패킷 음성/영상 신호를 검출하기 위한 수단(6,7)과; 메모리 수단(15)과; 상기 주프로그램 가이드 패킷신호와, 상기 복수의 특별 프로그램 가이드 패킷신호를 선택하고, 상기 주프로그램 가이드 패킷 신호에 포함된 프로그램 가이드 정보와 상기 특별 프로그램 가이드 패킷신호를 상기 메모리수단에 기억시키는 전송프로세서(8)와; 사용자 특별 조건부 액세스 코드(CA_CSS)의 소스(14)와; 프로그램 가이드 정보를 디스플레이하기 위한 디스플레이 프로세서(17,19.22)를 포함하는데, 상기 디스플레이 프로세서는 상기 주프로그램 가이드 정보로부터 각 특별 프로그램 가이드의 PG_CSSi와 상기 CA_CSS를 액세스하기 위한 수단을 포함하고 각 PG_CSSi와 CA_CSS간의 유사/차이점에 응답하여 대응하는 특별 프로그램 가이드 정보를 프로그램 가이드 디스플레이에 디스플레이 하거나 디스플레이하지 않는 것을 특징으로 하는 패킷 음성/영상 신호 수신장치.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, 상기 음성/영상 신호는 상기 사용자 특별 조건부 액세스 코드워드(CA_CSS)에 대응하는 정보를 포함한 조건부 액세스 패킷신호를 추가로 포함하고, 아울러 상기 장치는 상기 조건부 액세스 패킷신호에 포함된 상기 정보에 응답하여 상기 사용자 특별 조건부 액세스 코드워드(CA_CSS)를 제공하는 스마트카드 프로세서를 포함하고; 상기 전송 프로세서는 상기 음성/영상 패킷신호로부터 상기 조건부 액세스 패킷신호를 선택해서 상기 조건부 액세스 패킷신호에 포함된 조건부 액세스 정보를 상기 스마트 카드 프로세서에 제공하는 것을 특징으로 하는 패킷 음성/영상 신호 수신장치.
  11. 주프로그램 가이드 패킷신호와 복수의 특별 프로그램 가이드 패킷신호를 포함하는 패킷 음성/영상 신호 처리방법으로서, 상기 주프로그램 가이드 패킷신호가 각 특별 프로그램 가이드 조건부 액세스 코드(PG_CSSi)를 포함하는 특별 프로그램 가이드 패킷신호에 관련된 정보를 포함하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 패킷 음성/영상 신호를 검출하고 상기 주 가이드 패킷신호와 상기 특별 가이드 패킷신호를 선택하는 단계와; 상기 주 가이드 패킷신호로부터 주프로그램 가이드 정보를 추출하고, 주프로그램 가이드 정보를 메모리에 기억시키는 단계와; 상기 특별 가이드 패킷신호로부터 특별 프로그램 가이드 정보를 추출하고, 특별 프로그램 가이드 정보를 메모리에 기억시키는 단계와; 사용자에게 특별 조건부 액세스 코드워드를 제공하는 단계와; 특별 프로그램 가이드 정보의 디스플레이를 위해 주프로그램 가이드 정보를 처리하고, 각 특별 프로그램 가이드와 관련된 조건부 액세스 코드워드와 상기 사용자 특별 조건부 액세스 코드워드를 비교하고, 대응하는 조건부 액세스 코드워드(PG_CSS)와 사용자 특별 조건부 액세스 코드워드가 소정의 차이점을 갖는 특별 가이드 정보의 디스플레이를 배제하는 단계를 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 패킷 음성/영상 신호처리방법.
