Abstract

압축 방법은 인코더 버퍼와 디코더 버퍼 사이의 디지털 비디오 신호의 전송을 위해 제공된다. 동조 가능한 지연은 인코더 버퍼 메모리의 일부분의 형태로 인코더에 제공되며, 데이터는 미리 정해진 프레임 주기 후에 수신된 신호의 입력 비트율에 의해 정해지는 레이트에서 통신 채널로 판독된다.

제4도는 시간에 대한 디코더 버퍼 충만도에서의 증가를 나타내는 도면,
제5도는 본 발명을 구체화하는 제3도의 수정도.

Claims (8)

  1. 이미지 프레임 마다 데이터 비트의 가변수를 가지는 부호화된 디지털 비디오 신호의 전송을 위한 압축 방법에 있어서, a) 부호화된 디지털 비디오 신호 비트 스트림의 제1비트율을 검출하는 단계, b) 제1비트율에서 버퍼에 신호 비트 스트림을 순차적으로 기록하는 단계, c) 상기 제1비트율의 백분율로서 제2비트율, 제1비트율에서의 변경에 역으로 관계하는 변경을 유도하는 단계, d) 제2비트율에서 버퍼로부터 비트 스트림을 판독하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 압축 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 제1비트율의 지정된 범위에 대해 제2비트율이 최대의 제1의비트율 값에서 제1비트율에 일치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 압축 방법.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 하나 또는 다수의 프레임의 연속적인 그룹화가 저장되고, 및 제2비트율이 프레임의 비트율로부터 유도되거나 또는 계속되는 그룹화의 제1프레임의 비트율이 검출될 때까지 같도록 유지되는 것을 특징으로 하는 압축 방법.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, MPEG 스탠더드에 따라 부호화된 신호에 대해 제1의 그룹화가 I-화상에 할당되고 제2그룹화가 다른 형식의 이미지에 할당되는 것을 특징으로 하는 압축 방법.
  5. 미리 정해진 부호화 표에 의해 수신된 비디오 신호를 부호화하여 가변의 비트율 데이터 스트림으로서 신호를 출력할 수 있도록 동작하는 인코더 스테이지 및 이 인코더로부터 상기 가변적인 비트율 데이터 스트림을 수신하여 결합되며 또한 전송을 위해 데이터 신호를 출력하기 위해 배열되는 버퍼를 포함하는, 전송을 위해 디지털 비디오 신호를 복호화 할 수 있는 비디오 신호 인코딩 장치에 있어서, 상기 가변적인 비트율 데이터 스트림의 비트율을 검출하며, 인코더 스테이지 출력 비트율의 백분율로서 제2비트율을 유도하는 이 백분율이 인코더 스테이지 출력 레이트의 변경과의 역관계로 변하며, 및 상기 제2비트율에서 버퍼 출력 데이터 신호 비트율을 제어하도록 작동될 수 있는 수단을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 이 인코더 스테이지가 MPEG 스탠더드에 따라 수신된 비디오 신호를 부호화하도록 설계되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  7. 제5항에 있어서, 인코더 스테이지 출력 비트율을 검출하도록 작동할 수 있는 수단이 비트율 값의 다수의 인접하는 범위를 지정하며 및 이 범위의 첫 번째 하나로 인코더 출력 비트율 값을 먼저 검출할 때, 이 범위의 다른 것 내에서 비트율이 검출될 때까지 상기 유도된 제2비트율을 일정하게 유지되도록 설계되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  8. 비디오 이미지 프레임의 시퀀스에 대해 부호화된 데이터의 비트 스트림을 포함하는, 제1항의 방법에 의해 압축되는 부호화된 디지털 비디오 신호에 있어서, 이 신호의 순간의 비트율은 n이 상기 비트 밀도로 정해지는 n프레임 후에 이미지 프레임의 비트 밀도와 역관계에 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 부호화된 디지털 비디오 신호.
