Abstract

본 발명은 시청자 선택형 자막표시의 스크롤 방법에 관한 것으로서, 특히 방송국에서는 텔레비젼 신호의 매 필드마다 한 주사선에 자막신호를 실어서 전송하고 수신장치에서는 이를 수신하여 스크린상에 자막을 표시하는 시청자 선택형 자막표시방법에 있어서, 스크롤 영역크기와 스크롤 방향을 한 제어코드로하고 이 제어코드에 뒤따르는 문자정보를 상기 제어코드에 의해 지정된 스크롤 영역의 크기내에서 정해진 방향으로 스크롤시키면서 표시하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
따라서, 본 발명에서는 한 제어코드로 스크롤영역크기 및 스크롤방향을 지정할 수 있으므로 수신장치에서 디코딩 및 수행과정이 간단하여 수신장치의 코스트를 다운시킬 수 있고, 업/다운 및 오른쪽/왼쪽의 스크롤이 모두 가능하다.

Claims (4)

  1. 방송국에서는 텔레비젼 신호의 매 필드마다 한 주사선에 자막신호를 실어서 전송하고 수신장치에서는 이를 수신하여 스크린상에 자막을 표시하는 시청자 선택형 자막표시방법에 있어서, 스크롤 영역크기와 스크롤 방향을 한 제어코드로 하고 이 제어코드에 뒤따르는 문자정보를 상기 제어코드에 의해 지정된 스크롤 영역의 크기내에서 정해진 방향으로 스크롤시키면서 표시하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시청자 선택형 자막표시의 스크롤방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 스크롤 방향은 가로쓰기시 업/다운방향인 것을 특징으로 하는 시청자 선택형 자막표시의 스크롤방법.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 스크롤 방향은 세로쓰기시 오른쪽/왼쪽방향인 것을 특징으로 하는 시청자 선택형 자막표시의 스크롤방법.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 스크롤 영역의 크기는 2 내지 5줄인 것을 특징으로 하는 시청자 선택형 자막표시의 스크롤방법.
