Abstract

본 발명은 액정 표시 장치에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는, 각각의 게이트 배선의 저항차를 줄이고 이에 따른 화질의 저하를 개선하기 위한 액정 표시 장치에 관한 것이다. 마주보고 있는 제1, 제2기판으로 이루어져 있으며 상기 제1기판은 중앙에 활성 영역과 가장자리에 OLB 패드 영역을 포함하고 있는 액정 표시 장치로서, 제1기판의 활성 영역에 게이트선과 교차하는 부분에 다수의 화소 전극이 형성되어 있고 게이트선과 대응하면서 하나의 화소 전극에 대하여 두개씩 대응대어 다수의 박막 트랜지스터가 형성되어 있고 OLB패드 영역에 부착되어 있으며 다수의 데이터선의 일측단이 데이터 집적회로와 군집적으로 접지되어 있고 다수의 게이트선의 양끝단에 각각 두개씩 부착되어 다수의 게이트선과 게이트 집적회로가 접지되어 있다. 따라서, 본 발명에 따른 액정 표시 장치는 비대칭적이고 미러 형태로 동일한 길이를 갖는 게이트선을 제공함으로서 게이트선에서 발생되는 전압 강하가 동일하게 발생되어 각각의 게이트선 간의 저항차가 줄임으로써 균일한 휘도를 갖는 표시 화면에 얻을 수 있고 두개의 박막 트랜지스터를 제공하여 하나의 동작에서 전압 강하로 감소되는 부분을 다른 게이트선을 통하여 온시켜 줌으로서 상쇄하게 되어 좋은 화질을 갖는 대형화면을 구현할 수 있다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1.
