차량의 전방에 설치되어 있으며, 전방 좌측 및 우측 도로의 영상을 촬영한 뒤에 이를 전기적인 신호로 변환하여 출력하는 카메라(21)와, 운전자가 필요에 따라 자동차의 충돌방지 경고장치를 선택적으로 동작시키기 위한 동작 스위치(SW2)와, 상기한 동작 스위치(SW2)가 온된 경우에, 상기한 카메라(21)로부터 입력되는 영상신호를 이용하여 전방 좌측 및 우측 도로의 이동물체를 감지하고, 이동물체가 있는 경우에 충돌 가능성이 있게 되면 경고를 하기 위한 신호를 출력하는 마이크로 컨트롤러(22)와, 상기한 마이크로 컨트롤러(22)로부터 입력되는 신호에 따라 경고를 하는 경고 표시부(23)를 포함하여 이루어지며, 전방 좌측 및 우측 도로에서 이동하고 있는 물체를 확인하여 충돌 가능성이 있는 경우에 이를 경보함으로써 위험상황을 좀더 효율적으로 표시할 수가 있고, 또한 액정표시장치를 사용하지 않기 때문에 저렴한 비용으로 구성할 수가 있는 효과를 가진 교차로 진입시 자동차의 충돌방지 경고장치 및 그 방법을 제공한다.It is installed in front of the vehicle, the camera 21 for capturing the image of the front left and right road and converts it into an electrical signal and outputs it, and the driver can selectively operate the collision avoidance warning device of the vehicle as needed.
