Abstract
강유전성 액정 화면표시장치에 있어서, 우선 한행의 화소들이 리셋 즉 "귀선소거(blanking)" 신호를 수신하는 경우, 이 리셋 신호는 선택 이전에 카운터 전극을 제공함으로써 표현되며, 이때 리셋 전압은 화소 행을 동시에 선택하는 동안 리셋된다. 단일의 카운터 전극이 사용될 때, 그 카운터 전극은 각 선택 기간 동안 리셋 전압으로 전환된다. 그 카운터 전극이 서브 스트립으로 분할되며, 이 스트립은 화상 기간당 한번 리셋 전압으로 전환된다.

제1도는 본 발명에 따른 화면 표시 장치의 전기 등가 회로의 개략도이다,
제5도는 상기 장치의 이용동안 다수의 전극 양단의 전압 변화를 도시한다.
Claims (5)
- 행 즉 선택 전극의 군(group)과 열 즉 데이터 전극의 군을 가지는 제1기판과 상기 제1기판과 카운터 전극이 제공되는 제2기판 사이의 강유전성 화면표시 소자들의 위치에 행과 열로 배열된 화상 전극의 매트릭스를 구비하며, 각 화면표시 소자는 능동 스위칭 소자를 통해서 열전극(column electrode)에 접속되고, 선택 이전에 보조 신호에 의해서 표시 소자의 행을 극도의 광전송 상태로 옮기는 수단을 구비하는 화면표시 장치에 있어서, 상기 제2 기판 위에 배열된 카운터 전극에 대해 상기 보조 신호용 전압과 선택용 전압을 교대로 제공하는 구동 회로를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화면표시장치.
- 행 즉 선택 전극의 군(group)과 열 즉 데이터 전극의 군을 가지는 제1기판과 상기 제1기판과 카운터 전극이 제공되는 제2기판 사이에 행과 열로 배열된 강유전 광화면 표시 소자의 매트릭스를 구비하며, 각 강유전광 화면표시소자는 상기 제1 기판 위에 화상 전극을 가지며, 상기 화상 전극은 능동 스위칭 소자를 통해서 열전극(column electrode)에 접속되고, 선택 이전에 보조 신호에 의해서 표시 소자의 행을 극도의 광전송 상태로 옮기는 수단을 구비하는 화면표시장치에 있어서, 상기 제2 기판에는 행(row) 방향으로 뻗어있는 전극 스트립(stripes)이 제공되되, 상기 전극 스트립은 상기 전극 스트립과 대향하도록 배치된 화상 전극들과 상기 화면 전극들 사이의 강유전성 액정 물질로 이루어진 행들은 화면표시소자들의 행들중 일부를 형성하고, 상기 화면표시장치는 상기 전극 스트립에 대해 상기 보조 신호용 전압및 선택용 전압을 교대로 제공하는 구동 회로를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화면표시장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 구동 회로는 주사선 기간의 일부 동안 제1 화면표시 소자 열에 대해 보조 신호를 제공하고 이 주사선 기간의 나머지 부분중 적어도 일부 동안은 제2 화면 표시 소자열에 대해 선택 신호를 제공하는 수단을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화면표시장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 구동 회로는 주사선 기간중 일부 동안 제1 화면표시 소자열에 대해 보조 신호를 제공하고 주사선기간의 나머지 부분중 적어도 일부 동안에는 동일한 화면표시소자열에 대해 선택 신호를 제공하는 수단을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화면표시장치.
- 행 즉 선택 전극의 군(group)과 열 즉 데이터 전극의 군을 가지는 제1기판과 상기 제1기판과 제2기판 사이에 행과 열로 배열된 강유전성 액정 화면 표시 소자의 매트릭스를 구비하며, 각 화면표시소자는 능동 스위칭 소자를 통해서 열전극(column electrode)에 접속되는 화면표시장치에 있어서, 상기 제2기판에는 행 방향으로 뻗어있는 전극 스트립들이 제공되고, 상기 전극 스트립과 대향하여 위치된 화면 전극들과 그 사이의 강유전성 물질로 이루어진 행은 화면표시소자행중 일부를 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화면표시장치.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
