Abstract

광픽업에 있어서, 광디스크에 대한 대물렌즈의 포커스에러를 검출하기 위한 포커스에러 검출장치가 개시되어 있다. 그 장치는 광디스크(5)의 반사광(6)의 광축이 쉬프트 또는 틸트되는 것에 의한 오류를 제거하고 소형화를 위한 것으로서, 그 반사광을 집속하는 집속렌즈(7), 집속되는 반사광을 회절시켜 분할하는 회절광학소자(14), 분할 회절된 1차 회절광(6c,6d)을 각각 수광하는 2개의 2분할 광검출기(15,16), 그리고 그 광검출기의 검출신호로부터 원하는 포커스에러 신호를 연산하는 회로요소를 포함한다. 개시된 장치는 광픽업을 안정하게 동작시키고, 또한 소형화하는데 유용하다.

Claims (6)

  1. 평행한 입사광을 광디스크에 집속하는 대물렌즈의 포커스에러를 검출하기 위한 포커스에러 검출장치에 있어서, 상기 광디스크에서 반사되는 반사광을 집속하는 집속렌즈와, 상기 집속렌즈에 의해여 집속되는 반사광을 투과시키는 동시에 그 반사광의 광축을 중심으로 좌우로 대칭하게 진행하는 적어도 2개의 광으로 분할하는 빔분할부재와, 상기 빔분할부재에 의하여 분할되는 상기 적어도 2개의 광을 수광하여 그 수광되는 광량에 따른 신호를 검출하는 적어도 2개의 2분할 광검출기와, 상기 적어도 2개의 2분할 광검출기의 검출된 신호로부터 상기 포커스에러의 정도를 알리는 포커스에러 신호를 연산하기 위한 회로수단을 구비하여 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 포커스에러 검출장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 빔분할부재가 상기 반사광을 회절시키는 것에 의하여 상기 적어도 2개의 반사광을 분할하는 회절광학소자로 구비되고, 상기 적어도 2개의 2분할 광검출기가 그 회절광학소자에 의하여 회절하는 회절광 중에서 ±1회절광을 수광하도록 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 포커스에러 검출장치.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 빔분할부재가 상기 반사광을 복굴절시키는 것에 의하여 상기 적어도 2개의 반사광을 분할하는 복굴절소자로 구비되는 것을 특징으로 하는 포커스에러 검출장치.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 2개의 2분할 광검출기가 상기 분할된 적어도 2개의 반사광이 접속되는 초점의 부근에 위치하도록 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 포커스에러 검출장치.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 2개의 2분할 광검출기가 상기 분할된 적어도 2개의 반사광이 집속되는 초점보다 가까운 지점에 위치하도록 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 포커스에러 검출장치.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 2개의 2분할 광검출기가 상기 분할된 적어도 2개의 반사광이 집속되는 초점보다 먼 지점에서 위치하도록 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 포커스에러 검출장치.
