Abstract

광 파이버(14)와 전자-광학 디바이스(18) 사이에 광학접속을 이루기 위한 장치는 마주하는 사실상 편평한 표면들과 적어도 하나의 표면상에 길다란 홈(34)을 가진 한 쌍의 길다란 커넥터소자(30, 32)를 구비하여 커넥터소자 사이에 광 파이버가 유지되도록 수용하기 위한 파이버 광학 커넥터를 구비한다. 탄력성 클램핑부재(50)가 커넥터소자(30, 32)들을 서로 얼라이먼트 상태로 유지시켜 광 파이버(14)를 홈(34)에 보유시킨다. 클램핑부재(50)로부터 돌출하는 결합부분(52)은 커넥터에 보유된 광 파이버가 전자-광학 디바이스의 선정된 부분과 광학적 얼라이먼트를 이루도록 클램핑부재(50)를 전자-광학 디바이스(18)와 결합시 킨다.

Claims (10)

  1. 광 파이버를 전자-광학 디바이스의 광학입력에 접속하기 위한 장치로써, 광 파이버를 수용하기 위한 광 파이버 홈과, 기구를 수용하기 위한 기구 홈을 가진 한 쌍의 상보적 소자를 구비하며, 상기 기구는 광 파이버 홈 내에 광 파이버를 배치 또는 제거할 수 있도륵 소자들을 분리시키는데 사용되며, 소자들을 함께 유지시키기 위한 탄력성 클램핑수단을 구비하는 광 파이버 접속장치에 있어서, 파이버 광학 홈이 전자-광학 디바이스의 광학입력과 정렬되도록 전자-광학 디바이스와 클램핑수단을 결합시키는 결합수단을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 파이버 접속장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 탄력성 클램핑수단과 상기 결합수단은 상기 소자들을 함게 고정시키기 위한 일체형 브래킷수단으로 되어서 상기 광파이버를 상기 광학 파이버 홈에 유지시키고 전자-광학 디바이스를 상기 파이버 광학 홈과 얼라이먼트 상태로 유지시키는 광 파이버 접속장치.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 기구는 상기 기구수용 홈에 수용되기에 적합한 길다란 작동부분을 포함하며,상기 기구가 90도 회전될 때 상기 소자들은 광 파이버의 배치 또는 제거가 가능할 정도로 충분히 떨어지도록 힘을 받는 광 파이버 접속장치.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 광 파이버 홈은 상기 소자중 하나에 절반이 있고 다른 하나에 절반이 있는 광 파이버 접속장치.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 광 파이버 홈은 일반적으로 원추형의 입구를 갖는 광 파이버 접속장치.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 전자-광학 디바이스는 다이오드인 광 파이버 접속장치.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 결합수단은 상기 클램핑수단으로부터 바깥쪽으로 돌출하는 한 쌍의 편평한 표면이며, 상기 편평한 표면은 상기 다이오드에 부착되는 광 파이버 접속장치.
  8. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 탄력성 클램핑수단과 상기 결합수단은 탄력적인 힌지된 하우징에 의해 규정되는 광 파이버 접속장치.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 하우징은 상기 소자들을 수용하기 위한 동공을 갖는 광 파이버 접속장치.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, 상기 하우징은 상기 전자-광학 디바이스를 수용하기 위한 다른 동공을 갖는 광 파이버 접속장치.
