본 발명은 TV/VCR의 RF 모듈레이터 출력 채널을 자동으로 절환하기 위한 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로, RF 입력단(RFin)이 안테나와 연결되고 RF 출력단(RFout)은 TV에 연결된 모듈레이터와, 상기 모듈레이터(10) 내에 장착되어 채널 절환 작동을 하는 절환 스위치와, 동기 신호 유무를 판별하여 상기 절환 스위치의 스위칭을 컨트롤 하는 마이컴과, 상기 모듈레이터와 마이컴에 연결되어 마이컴의 채널 선택 데이타에 따라 적합한 채널을 튜닝하는 PLL 튜너부(50)와, 상기 PLL 튜너부(50)의 연결되어 튜닝된 주파수를 증폭하는 중간 주파 증폭부(60)와, 상기 중간 주파수 증폭부에 연결되어 중간 주파 증폭된 영상 신호 및 음성 신호를 처리하는 영상 신호 처리부 및 음성 신호처리부와, 상기 영상 신호 처리부의 동기 신호를 검출하여 그 유무를 상기 마이컴에 전달하는 동기 검출부로 구성되어 VCR의 영상·음성신호 출력에 사용되는 3채널, 또는 4채널중의 한 채널이 방송되고 있는 경우, 방송되고 있는 영상신호에서 동기 신호를 검출하여 제어 수단(40)에 의해 제어함으로써 방송이 없는 채널로 자동으로 절환되도록 한 것이다.The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for automatically switching an RF modulator output channel of a TV / VCR, wherein an RF input terminal (RFin) is connected to an antenna and an RF output terminal (RFout) is connected to a TV, and the modulator 10 ) A switching switch for channel switching operation, a microcomputer controlling the switching of the switching switch by determining the presence of a synchronization signal, and a PLL connected to the modulator and the microcomputer to tune a suitable channel according to the channel selection data of the microcomputer.
