Abstract
본 발명은 내부 연소 기관, 특히 자동차 및 공업용 정지 공급 기관으로부터의 가스상 폐기물을 연소시키기 위한 개선된 배기 가스 촉매 및 이를 제조하는 방법을 제공하기 위한 것이다. 배기 가스 촉매는 실제적으로 순수한 α-알루미나 캐리어 및 백금, 팔라듐 및 이들의 혼합물중에서 선택된 하나 이상의 귀금속을 포함하여 장기간 사용하는데 있어서 매우 우수한 안정성을 나타낸다.

Claims (10)
- 실제적으로 순수한 다공성 α-알루미나 캐리어(carrier)및 캐리어내에 함침된, 백금, 팔라듐 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 그룹중에서 선택된, 유효량의 귀금속을 포함함을 특징으로 하는, 일산화탄소 및 탄화수소를 연소시키고 질소 산화물을 환원시키기 위한 배기 가스 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서, 캐리어내에 함침된, 세륨, 몰리브덴. 바나듐, 망간, 크롬, 티탄, 란탄, 니오븀, 지르코늄 및 희토류 원소로 이루어진 그룹중에서 선택된 하나 이상의 전이 금속을 추가로 포함하는 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서, 로듐을 추가로 포함하는 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서, 귀금속의 양이 촉매의 약 0.01내지 약2중량%를 구성하는 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서, 귀금속이 0.01 : 1내지 100 : 1의 중량비로 존재하는 백금과 팔라듐의 혼합물인 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서, α-알루미나 캐리어가 단일암체(monolithic)구조를 지니는 촉매.
- a)α-알루미나 캐리어를 백금, 팔라듐 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 그룹중에서 선택된 귀금속의 화합물 및 용매를 함유하는 용액과 접촉시킴으로써, 상기한 캐리어를 상기한 귀금속에 함침시키고, b)용매의 약 90%이상이 캐리어로부터 제거될 때까지, 함침된 캐리어를 시간당 캐리어 1g당 통해 약 1g미만의 속도로 건조시킨 다음, c)건조된 캐리어를 가열시킴을 특징으로 하여, 일산화탄소 및 탄화수소를 연소시키고 질소 산화물을 환원시키기 위한 배기 가스 촉매를 제조하는 방법.
- 제7항에 있어서, 캐리어를 하나 이상의 산소 촉진제에 함침시키는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 방법.
- 제7항에 있어서, 가열 단계를 약100내지 약900℃의 온도에서 수행하는방법.
- 제7항에 있어서, 건조 및 가열 단계를 동시에 수행하는 방법.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
