Abstract

The image printer for maintaining precise distance between LED head and drum, has an LED array. The LED array illuminates a surface of a light-sensitive drum. A mounting is provided on which the array is mounted. A low friction roller is adjustably disposed between the mounting and the drum to determine the position of the LED array relative to the drum surface. A resilient bias member e.g. a coil spring or plate spring urges the LED array toward the drum surface. The roller is mounted on a free end of a bracket, with the array also mounted on a free end. A housing has two parts, at least one of which is movalbe w.r.t. the other to open the printer.

본 발명은 전자사진을 이용하는 화상형성 장치에 관한 것으로서, 특히 LED 헤드 에레이를 이용한 화상기록 장치의 화질을 향상시킬 수 있도록 한 것이다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1.
