Abstract

The method tunes a channel frequency to the transmission frequency of a certain channel precisely in a certain time by sequentially varying the receiving frequency of a tuner by 250 KHz interval until the frequency and transmission frequency come close, and reducing the variation interval to 62.5 KHz. The method comprises the three stages; the 1st stage for generating the reception reference frequency data (fo) of a certain channel, the 2nd stage for setting the channel frequency bandwidth of a tuner (TU) to the transmission frequency of the channel, and the 3rd stage for precisely tuning the channel frequency bandwidth of the tuner (TU) to the transmission frequency.
