Catalysts for the ammoxidn. of propylene or isobutylene to unsatd. acrylonitrile or metacrylonitrile consisted of oxides of Sb, Sn, W, and K, with tha addn. of Cu, Co, or Fe. In the ammoxidn. of propylene(I) in the presense of a 4:2:0.25:0.5:0.05 Sb-Sn-Cu-K catalyst, 68% of I was converted into acrylonitrile and 11.2% into CO2 and CO.
