Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a device for collecting bio-aerosol in the air.
Harmful infectious viruses such as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), new influenza, and COVID-19 viruses, which have recently occurred worldwide, scatter in the air and cause infection in the form of droplets or particles, threatening human life as well as causing economic loss. also follows Accordingly, there is a need for a detection and monitoring technology capable of detecting and responding to airborne infectious viruses at an early stage.
Currently, all techniques for detecting viruses use virus samples in a liquid state. Therefore, in order to detect the virus, a technique for capturing the virus in the air in a liquid phase is essential.
In the past, inertial force, impact force, electric field, etc. have been used as a method for liquid phase collection of viruses in the air. However, these methods require a lot of energy and have problems in that the virus is physically or chemically damaged by impact during the collection process. Viruses that have been physically or chemically damaged in this way are difficult to detect. Accordingly, it is necessary to develop a technology for intactly capturing bio-aerosols in the air.
One object of the present invention is to provide a device capable of completely collecting bio-aerosols such as viruses and bacteria floating in the air with excellent collection efficiency without damage.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a bio-aerosol monitoring device in the air with improved bio-aerosol detection performance by including the above-described collecting device.

According to another aspect of the present invention, a
According to the present invention, the bio-aerosol is used as a condensation nucleus to cause moisture condensation to occur before air is introduced into the collecting unit and collected, thereby increasing the size of the nano-sized bio-aerosol. In this way, when the size of the bio-aerosol increases due to condensation of ambient moisture, the number of charges increases when the bio-aerosol is charged by ions caused by corona discharge, resulting in an excellent dust collection effect in electric dust collection. In addition, a water film is formed on the bio-aerosol due to the condensation of moisture centered on the floating bio-aerosol, and this water film serves as a protective film to protect the floating bio-aerosol. The protective film minimizes the impact applied to the floating bio-aerosol and minimizes damage to the captured microorganisms. According to the present invention, as described above, both prevention of damage in the air and prevention of damage during liquefaction can be achieved, so that bio-aerosol can be completely collected, and consequently, the detection efficiency of bio-aerosol can be improved.

The warming and humidifying
In addition, according to one embodiment of the present invention, the temperature and
Next, referring to FIG. 3, the condensing
The
Meanwhile, according to one embodiment, the
According to one embodiment of the present invention, the bio-aerosol can be charged and collected using the corona discharge described above, and therefore, the electrode of the
The
The
The collecting liquid
The capture liquid (W) may contain distilled water or a buffer solution. In this case, the buffer may be a buffer used for cell culture, for example, a PBS buffer, and calcium chloride or magnesium chloride may be added to the PBS buffer if necessary.
The captured
