Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an impurity removal device, and more particularly, to an impurity removal device capable of continuously washing a filler.
According to Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2011-0077209, COG (Coke Oven Gas) generated as a by-product in the coke process is a high-caloric by-product gas composed mostly of hydrogen and methane and is being used as a heat source for steel mills. However, in the case of raw materials (hereafter referred to as raw COG), purification is required because there are many impurities such as tar, BTX, and hydrogen sulfide. The purification of raw COG is done in the chemical process, and the refined clean COG is finally used as a heat source in several places in the steelworks.
The chemical process can be divided into a gas cooler, an electrostatic precipitator, and a collection process. Raw COG is cooled in a gas-liquid separator and gas cooler to separate foreign substances into liquid. Tar-based particulate matter is removed in an electrostatic precipitator, and hydrogen sulfide/ammonia and BTX (benzene, toluene, and xylene) are removed in two collection towers, respectively.
Among them, in the absorption column, impurities are removed using an absorbent. In particular, in the case of a hydrogen sulfide/ammonia collection tower, concentrated water is used as an absorbent and collected through an acid-base reaction. However, foreign substances that are not removed by some absorbents accumulate on the filler, reducing purification efficiency. To solve this, the process must be stopped and the filler must be periodically cleaned or replaced. In this case, there is a problem in that productivity is lowered as the process is stopped.
Conventionally, as described above, there is a problem in that foreign substances that are not removed by the absorbent accumulate on the filler and reduce purification efficiency. However, these tasks are illustrative, and the scope of the present invention is not limited thereby.

However, some unabsorbed foreign substances adhere to the

Specifically, COG gas from which tar-based particulate matter is removed is supplied to the
Here, the first absorbent supplied from the first
The second absorbent supplied from the second
As shown in FIG. 4, when the

On the other hand, in the present invention, a separate component is applied to continuously wash the filler without stopping the operation of the impurity removal device by physically removing foreign substances accumulated in the filler.
1 is a diagram schematically illustrating the structure of an impurity removal device according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a diagram schematically illustrating the structure of a structure for preventing a flow of pollutant gas in the impurity removal device shown in FIG. 1 .
First, referring to FIG. 1, an
The
The
The
Specifically, the pollutant gas
Referring to FIG. 2, the pollutant gas
That is, in the region where the grooves are formed, the cocos gas may come into contact with the first absorbent and the second absorbent and chemically react with each other while rising. On the other hand, coke gas does not rise in the area where the groove is not formed. At this time, in the area where the groove is not formed, nitrogen (N 2 ) gas is sprayed toward the
The material of the contaminant gas
The cleaning gas used in the cleaning
The number of nozzles of the cleaning
The contaminant gas
As described above, the impurity removal device according to an embodiment of the present invention is for continuously removing foreign substances attached to the filler provided in the collection column. The foreign substances may be physically removed from the filling material without interruption of the process by utilizing a covering plate called a contaminant gas flow prevention structure and a nozzle provided in a cleaning gas dispensing unit. Through this, it is possible to prevent the reduction in efficiency and clogging of the filler in advance.
Foreign substances accumulated in the filler may not only damage the filler, but also cause deterioration of equipment in a place where coke gas is transported or used. Conventionally, when it is determined that the purification efficiency of coke gas is significantly reduced, the process is stopped, and the next process is performed after washing or replacing the filler. However, the present invention can improve the phenomenon that the purification efficiency of coke gas is reduced or the equipment is deteriorated by continuously washing the filler without stopping the process.
In addition, conventionally, a foreign material dissolving agent is introduced as a way to prevent clogging of the filler, but this is expensive and may require a separate process for regenerating the dissolving agent. On the other hand, in the present invention, there is an advantage in that a separate separation process is not required because the foreign matter is physically removed from the filler rather than chemically using a gas such as nitrogen or argon.
Although the present invention has been described with reference to the embodiments shown in the drawings, this is merely exemplary, and those skilled in the art will understand that various modifications and equivalent other embodiments are possible therefrom.
