Description
The present invention relates to a method for producing an acrylonitrile-based fiber bundle.
In the production of an acrylonitrile-based fiber bundle used as a precursor fiber of a carbon fiber bundle or the like, it has been conventionally known to stretch with pressurized steam. This is because, while a higher temperature than hot water under atmospheric pressure is obtained, the presence of moisture produces a plasticizing effect of the acrylonitrile-based fiber bundle, thereby enabling high-magnification stretching. However, in the pressurized steam drawing of an acrylonitrile-based fiber bundle, when drawing at a high magnification, defects such as cutting of short fibers, generation of fluff, and cutting of the entire fiber bundle may occur. The same is true for obtaining fine fiber bundles or for processing at a higher speed.
In addition, Patent Document 3 discloses that the pressurized steam pressure used for preheating and the residence time thereof, and the pressurized steam pressure used for stretching and the residence time thereof are each within a certain range, thereby stably producing a high-quality carbon fiber bundle. It is suitable, and a technique for suppressing the fluctuation rate of fineness is disclosed.
In addition, in Patent Document 4, in order to control the temperature of the steam chamber to which pressurized steam is supplied, the seal chamber on the inlet side of the steam stretching device, and the temperature outside the inlet of the steam stretching device, the moisture according to the temperature is detected while detecting the temperature and pressure of the steam. A technique is disclosed in which a temperature difference between the saturated steam temperature and the saturated steam temperature is 2°C or less by supplying pressurized steam supplied to the steam chamber by an atomizer.
However, in the method of
In addition, in the method of
In addition, in the method of Patent Document 3, in order to improve the production capacity without entailing a large investment in equipment, it is essential to increase the production speed, and the residence time in the preheating zone and the heating zone is shortened, thereby reducing the amount of heat required for preheating and stretching. Could not be obtained, leading to single yarn breakage or breakage of acrylonitrile fiber bundles in some cases.
In addition, in the method of Patent Document 4, the steam supplied from the steam chamber to the inlet of the steam stretching device is to make the temperature difference between the temperature of the steam stretching device inlet side seal chamber and the temperature outside the steam stretching device inlet and the

As a result of careful examination in order to solve the above problem, it has two regions, a preheating region provided on the fiber bundle introduction side and a heat-drawing region provided on the acrylonitrile fiber bundle take-out side, and the two regions are provided with a sealing member. A stretching method using a pressurized steam stretching device spaced apart by a seal region, comprising controlling a pressure difference between the preheating region and the heating stretching region, and a time for the fiber bundles to stay in the seal region between the preheating region and the heating stretching region. , It was found that a more uniform stretching treatment could be performed, and an acrylonitrile fiber bundle excellent in process passability was obtained, and the present invention was reached.
That is, in the method for producing an acrylonitrile-based fiber bundle of the present invention, a fiber bundle including a yarn spun from a spinning solution containing an acrylonitrile-based copolymer is taken out of a preheating region and a fiber bundle provided on the fiber bundle introduction side. As a method for producing a fiber bundle, when the pressure in the preheating region is P1 (MPa) and the pressure in the heat-stretching region is P2 (MPa), the difference between P2 and P1 ΔP = P2-P1 and the fiber bundle in the sealing region The residence time t (second) of satisfies the relational expression of 1.0 ≤ ΔP/t ≤ 10, the minimum load temperature T1 (°C) of the fiber bundle before introduction of the pressurized steam stretching device, and the temperature T2 (°C) of the preheating region are T1- It is characterized in that it satisfies a relational expression of 20≤T2<T1.
In addition, in the method for producing a carbon fiber bundle of the present invention, after preparing an acrylonitrile-based fiber bundle by the method for producing an acrylonitrile-based fiber bundle, salt-resistant treatment in an oxidizing atmosphere at 200 to 300°C, and then This is a method for producing a carbon fiber bundle heated in an inert atmosphere of 1000°C or higher.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to FIG. 1 as well.
In the method for producing an acrylonitrile-based fiber bundle of the present invention, after spinning a spinning solution containing an acrylonitrile-based copolymer, a pressurized steam drawing is performed on the fiber bundle including the spun yarn using a pressurized steam drawing device. Conduct. Here, before and after the pressurized steam drawing using the pressurized steam drawing apparatus, a process known in the field of fiber production can be appropriately performed. For example, in the case of solution spinning of an acrylonitrile fiber bundle, a solution in which a homopolymer of acrylonitrile or an acrylonitrile copolymer containing a comonomer is dissolved in a known organic or inorganic solvent as a raw material polymer is used. After spinning, when stretching, the pressurized steam stretching according to the present invention can be performed. In this case, the spinning method may be any of a so-called wet, dry or dry method, and in the subsequent step, a solvent removal agent, stretching in a bath, oil adhesion treatment, drying, or the like can be performed. Pressurized steam stretching may be carried out at any stage in the fiber manufacturing process, but after removing the solvent in the fiber bundle to some extent, that is, after washing or stretching in a bath, or after drying, drying is preferable from the viewpoint of obtaining a fiber bundle of high orientation. Later is more preferable.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. However, the present invention is limited to examples and is not interpreted. The pressurized steam drawing device (A) used in the present invention includes a
It is preferable that the pressure P1 of the preheating
A plurality of preheating regions and heating and stretching regions can be provided. In that case, the pressure P1 (MPa) of the preheating region refers to the pressure of the preheating region closest to the heating and stretching region, and the pressure P2 (MPa) of the heating and stretching region refers to the pressure of the heating and stretching region closest to the preheating region.
As the sealing member provided in the sealing region, a plurality of plate pieces extending perpendicular to each other in a direction approaching each other from the upper and lower surfaces of the pressurized steam stretching apparatus called labyrinth nozzles with running threads therebetween, or pipes of small diameters It is possible to use a plurality of them in a row, but the pressure difference between the preheating region and the heat-stretching region can be created or maintained, but is not particularly limited thereto. In addition, the labyrinth nozzle can be applied to any shape, such as round, rectangular, or oval, and does not matter whether it is an integral type or a divided type. In addition, there is no restriction on the inner diameter of the labyrinth nozzle, the number of stages, or the shape of the throttling side. It is also desirable to apply a material having sufficient mechanical strength to seal for preventing steam leakage. For example, as a material for a portion that may come into contact with the fiber bundle of the treatment device, in particular, in order to have corrosion resistance and to suppress damage to the fiber bundle when the fiber bundle comes into contact, chrome Although it is preferable to use a material subjected to plating treatment, it is not limited thereto.
As a method of adjusting the pressure in the preheating
The residence time t of the
In the present invention, it is important that the minimum load temperature T1 (°C) of the fiber bundle before introduction of the pressurized steam stretching device and the temperature T2 (°C) of the preheating region satisfy T1-20≦T2<T1.
Here, the minimum load temperature T1 (°C) is determined by the following method. The fiber bundle before entering the pressurized steam stretching device is sampled, and one single fiber is taken from the fiber bundle. The short fibers are set in a tensile probe (sample length 10 mm) of TMA4010SA manufactured by Bruker AXS, a tensile load of 0.3 g is applied to eliminate loosening of the sample, and the load mode is set to constant. . The load is measured every 0.5 sec while raising the temperature from room temperature to 200°C at a temperature increase rate of 20°C/min in air. In the range of 50°C to 200°C, the temperature at which the load becomes the minimum value is taken as the load minimum temperature T1. In addition, the temperature T2 (°C) of the preheating region may be measured by a general device, and may be measured by, for example, a thermocouple.
When a plurality of preheating regions are provided, the temperature T2 (°C) of the preheating region refers to the temperature of the preheating region closest to the heat stretching region.
In the case of T1-20≦T2<T1, it is possible to suppress partial initiation of unintended stretching in the preheating region, and as a result, deterioration of quality due to fluff can be prevented. In order to perform sufficient and stable preheating in the preheating region, T1-15≦T2≦T1-5 is more preferable.
The minimum load temperature T1 of the fiber bundle before introduction of the pressurized steam stretching device can be changed by changing the content or composition of the copolymerization component contained in the acrylonitrile-based polymer, or by changing the stretching conditions or drying conditions in spinning. It is not limited to. The temperature T2 of the preheating region can be adjusted by the pressure of the pressurized steam supplied to the pressurized steam stretching device, or by adjustment by the sealing members at both ends of the preheating region, that is, the number or shape of the seal members. Further, the temperature T2 of the preheating region can be adjusted by cooling the preheating region from the outside of the apparatus with water or the like or by heating the preheating region with an electric heater or the like.
Further, the method for producing an acrylonitrile fiber bundle of the present invention can be particularly suitably used when the roundness of the single yarn of the fiber bundle before introduction of the pressurized steam stretching device is 0.9 or more. Here, the roundness of such a single yarn is obtained by the following method. The fiber bundle before introduction of the pressurized steam stretching device is sampled, cut perpendicular to the fiber axis with a razor, and the cross-sectional shape of the short fiber is observed using an optical microscope. The measurement magnification is the magnification at which the finest single fiber is observed at about 1 mm, and the number of pixels of the device used is 2 million pixels. By image analysis of the obtained image, the cross-sectional area and circumferential length of the single yarn constituting the fiber bundle were obtained, and the diameter (fiber diameter) of the cross-section of the single yarn assumed to be a true circle from the cross-sectional area was calculated in units of 0.1 μm, and roundness = 4πS. Using the formula of /L 2 , the roundness of the single yarn constituting the fiber bundle can be obtained (in the formula, S represents the cross-sectional area of the single yarn, and L represents the circumference length of the single yarn). When the roundness of such a single yarn is 0.9 or more, the fiber bundles are formed in a dense state, and in a pressurized steam stretching apparatus, it becomes possible to perform a stretching treatment more uniformly, so that the effects of the present invention are easily exhibited. The roundness of the single yarn of the fiber bundle can be adjusted by changing the coagulation conditions or stretching conditions for spinning.
Next, a method of producing a carbon fiber bundle from an acrylonitrile-based fiber bundle obtained by the method for producing an acrylonitrile-based fiber bundle of the present invention will be described.
The acrylonitrile-based fiber bundle produced by the above-described method for producing an acrylonitrile-based fiber bundle is subjected to a salt resistance treatment in an oxidizing atmosphere such as air at 200 to 300°C. The treatment temperature is preferably raised from low temperature to high temperature in multiple steps to obtain a flame-resistant fiber bundle, and stretching the fiber bundle at a high draw ratio within a range not accompanied by fluffing will sufficiently improve the performance of the carbon fiber bundle. It is preferable to express. Subsequently, the resulting flame-resistant fiber bundle is heated to 1000°C or higher in an inert atmosphere such as nitrogen to produce a carbon fiber bundle. Thereafter, by performing anodic oxidation in an aqueous electrolyte solution, it becomes possible to impart a functional group to the surface of the carbon fiber bundle to improve the adhesion to the resin. Further, it is preferable to provide a sizing agent such as an epoxy resin to obtain a carbon fiber bundle having excellent abrasion resistance.
