Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a multilayer film for an air filter having improved strength.
A porous body made of polytetrafluoroethylene (hereinafter referred to as "PTFE") is excellent in chemical resistance, heat resistance, weather resistance, and non-flammability, and has properties such as non-adhesiveness and low friction coefficient. Moreover, because of its porous structure, it is also excellent in permeability, flexibility, flexibility, and collection and filtration of fine particles. For this reason, materials made of PTFE are used in a wide range of fields, such as filters for purifying air for life, filtration of fine chemicals, and filters for waste water treatment.
Typically, a filter is manufactured by laminating PTFE on a substrate of a non-woven fabric, and a filter is manufactured by performing a bending process and a melt bonding process on a fabric produced by a filter manufacturer.
Therefore, in the manufacture of the filter, the bending characteristics should be good to maintain the shape after bending, which is due to the stiffness of the fabric, and specifically, should have high strength and have stiff characteristics. If the strength is low, the shape is uneven after bending, and deformation such as a phenomenon in which the acid collapses has occurred.
Accordingly, there is a need to develop a material capable of increasing strength to a desired degree.
The present invention is to provide a multi-layer film for air filters with improved strength by controlling the composition ratio of the polymers forming the nonwoven fabric and the fiber diameter.
According to the present invention, the fluororesin porous membrane; And
It is formed on at least one surface of the fluorine resin porous membrane, non-woven fabric comprising at least 5 denier (Denier) polymer fibers; containing,
The polymer fiber includes polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polyethylene (PE), and the polyethylene terephthalate is provided in an amount of 55% by weight or more based on the total weight of the polymer fiber, thereby providing a multilayer film for an air filter.
Hereinafter, a multi-layer film for an air filter according to embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail.

It does not mean that it does not include another structure between the said substrate and any structure formed on (or under) the substrate.
The multilayer film for the air filter performs a bending process to make an acid during the manufacturing process. At this time, in order to maintain the shape after bending, the manufacturing fabric must have a predetermined strength or higher.
Accordingly, the present inventors, after repeated in-depth research, in order to increase the strength of the manufactured fabric, to increase the diameter of the nonwoven fabric among the components constituting the manufactured fabric, and to properly adjust the composition ratio of the polymer material constituting the nonwoven fabric In this case, it has been confirmed that a multilayer film for an air filter having a predetermined or higher strength can be produced, and has reached the present invention.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the multi-layer film for air filters of the present invention includes a fluororesin porous membrane and a nonwoven fabric formed on at least one surface of the fluororesin porous membrane and comprising a polymer fiber, wherein the nonwoven fabric is By properly adjusting the fiber diameter and the polymer ratio, it is possible to have a strength of 1500 mgs or more.
Specifically, the non-woven fabric includes at least 5 denier polymer fibers. When the fiber diameter of the polymer fiber satisfies the above range, the strength of the nonwoven fabric itself can be improved. More specifically, the fiber diameter of the polymer fibers included in the nonwoven fabric may be 6 denier or more, and 10 denier or less.
If it is smaller than the above range, the polymer fiber itself is too thin, so it is difficult to have a predetermined strength. On the other hand, if it is too thick, air permeability is low, which may interfere with air flow, and there is a problem in that the air filter differential pressure is increased.
The diameter of the fiber is based on a denier that is widely used internationally, and specifically, it is referred to as 1 denier for drawing a unit weight of 1 g to a standard length of 9000 m. And, the value of the denier of the polymer fiber contained in the nonwoven fabric of the present invention, cut 10 polymer fibers of the nonwoven fabric to a length of 10 cm to measure the weight (W), 9000m / 1g x 100cm / 1m x Wg / ( 10cm X number of samples).
However, the denier measurement method is a general method and the length and the number of samples can be adjusted for convenience in measurement.
The polymer fibers included in the nonwoven fabric may include polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polyethylene (PE), wherein the polyethylene terephthalate may be included in an amount of 55% by weight or more based on the total weight of the polymer fibers.
In detail, the polyethylene terephthalate may be included in an amount of 65% to 95% by weight, more specifically, 70% to 90% by weight based on the total weight of the polymer fiber.
Since the polyethylene terephthalate exhibits higher strength compared to polyethylene, when the above range is satisfied, it may have a desired multilayer film strength. Outside the above range, when polyethylene terephthalate is included in an amount of less than 55% by weight, the strength of the multilayer film is low and thus it is impossible to maintain the shape after bending, which is not preferable.
Specifically, the polymer fiber is a core comprising polyethylene terephthalate; And a core-shell fiber composed of a shell comprising polyethylene. That is, the polyethylene terephthalate may be in the form of polyethylene wrapped around the fibers. In this case, the polyethylene terephthalate, based on the total weight of the core-shell, 55% by weight or more, specifically, 65% to 95% by weight, more specifically, 70% to 90% by weight may be included . In other words, when the non-woven fabric according to the present invention includes the core-shell fiber as described above, the content of polyethylene terephthalate must satisfy the above range, even if it is based on one fiber, thereby improving the strength of the fiber itself and including it as a whole. The strength of the multi-layered film can be evenly improved.
In addition, since the core-shell fiber as described above, since one fiber includes both polyethylene terephthalate and polyethylene, the strength of each strand of the fiber itself can be adjusted according to the weight ratio thereof. It is preferable that the fibers including the fibers and the polyethylene can have a uniform strength as a whole rather than an irregularly mixed structure.
Moreover, the polymer fiber may be made of polyethylene terephthalate and polyethylene, and the nonwoven fabric may be made of the polymer fiber. At this time, the weight% is also the same as above. Specifically, the nonwoven fabric, a core made of polyethylene terephthalate; And a core-shell fiber composed of a shell made of polyethylene.
Meanwhile, the fluorine resin porous membrane may be used without limitation as long as it is usually used for a fluorine resin membrane, and specific examples include polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and tetrafluoroethylene-perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether copolymer (PFA). , Tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene copolymer (FEP), ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer resin (ETFE), tetrafluoroethylene-chlorotrifluoroethylene copolymer (TFE / CTFE) or ethylene-chlorotrifluoro Roethylene resin (ECTFE) and the like, and any one or a mixture of two or more of them may be used. Considering that it is possible to improve the chemical resistance, heat resistance, weather resistance and non-flammability of the porous membrane, it may be made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) in detail.
The fluorine resin porous membrane may have pores having an average diameter (Mean Pore Size) of 0.3 to 1.5 μm or less. These pores can be adjusted by controlling the draw ratio and conditions during the manufacturing process of the fluororesin porous membrane. Specifically, the pores may have an average diameter of 0.4 μm to 1.0 μm, and more specifically, 0.45 μm to 0.5 μm. By including pores satisfying the above range, it is possible to exhibit excellent filtration efficiency without deteriorating the permeability.
In the present specification, the “average diameter” refers to pores having a diameter of about 10 nm to about 300 μm contained in a fluororesin porous membrane as a population, and their average diameters are measured. Specifically, the pore size distribution is measured by passing air or nitrogen through a fluororesin porous membrane using a pore measuring device (for example, Capillary flow prometer CFP-1500AE manufactured by Porous Materials, Inc.) , Among them, pores having a size of about 10 nm to about 300 μm are used as a population, and average values of pores having a diameter in the above range are measured. In addition, the diameter of each individual pore means the longest length of the diameter of the pores identified in the cross section.
Meanwhile, the nonwoven fabric may be formed on one side or both sides of the fluororesin porous membrane, or may be formed by stacking two or more on each side. However, when considering air permeability, durability, collection efficiency, and the like, in detail, a nonwoven fabric may be formed as one layer on both sides of the fluororesin porous membrane.
In any case, the total thickness of the multi-layer film for an air filter including the nonwoven fabric and the fluororesin porous membrane may be 150 μm to 500 μm, specifically, 200 μm to 400 μm, and more specifically, 250 μm to 300 μm. Μm. When formed in the above thickness range, while maintaining proper durability, it is possible to simultaneously realize the effects of excellent collection efficiency, pressure loss reduction, and pinhole generation.
At this time, the total thickness of the non-woven fabric in the multi-layer film for air filters may be in the range of 90% to 97% of the total thickness of the multi-layer film for air filters.

That is, when the non-woven fabric is formed on only one side, the thickness of each non-woven fabric formed on both sides may be thicker, and when formed in duplicate on each side, the thickness of each non-woven fabric is formed thinner, so that the total thickness is It can be overlapped to be in the above range.
The multi-layer film for air filters manufactured as described above may have a strength of 15000 mgs, and in detail, a strength of 15000 mgs to 25000 mgs, and more specifically a strength of 20000 mgs to 25000 mgs.
The strength, when the specimen is made into 1
Therefore, the multi-layer film for air filters according to the present invention has an intensity in the above range, and thus has excellent shape retention even after a bending process.
On the other hand, the manufacturing method of the multi-layer film for the air filter includes the steps of preparing a composition for forming each film layer, and extruding, rolling, drying, stretching and heat-setting using the composition.
