Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method of doping a polymer for a solid electrolyte, and more particularly to a method of doping a polymer for a solid electrolyte using a ball milling method.
In view of battery capacity, safety, output, size, miniaturization, and the like, various batteries are currently being studied that can overcome the limitations of lithium secondary batteries.
Typically, a metal-air battery having a much higher theoretical capacity in terms of capacity than a lithium secondary battery, an all-solid-state battery with no explosion risk in terms of safety, and a supercapacitor in terms of output. (supercapacitor), NaS battery or redox flow battery (RFB) in the aspect of large size, thin film battery in the aspect of miniaturization, etc. are continuously being studied in the academic and industrial fields.
An all-solid-state battery means a battery in which a liquid electrolyte conventionally used in a lithium secondary battery is replaced with a solid. Since no flammable solvent is used in the battery, no ignition or explosion occurs due to the decomposition reaction of a conventional electrolyte solution. It can greatly improve. In addition, since Li metal or Li alloy may be used as a negative electrode material, there is an advantage in that the energy density with respect to the mass and volume of the battery can be significantly improved.
In the all-solid-state battery, the interface between the electrode and the solid electrolyte is very important because the electrolyte is a solid rather than a liquid. In other words, when a failure occurs at the interface or when the interface contact amount is insufficient, the characteristics of the battery are greatly reduced, so control thereof is important. All-solid battery is a solid electrolyte include a polystyrene-polyethylene oxide block polymer solid electrolyte such as a copolymer, LLT (.. Li 0 35 La 0 55 TiO 3) the crystalline solid electrolyte as an amorphous solid electrolyte of the silica system, such as, thio- Sulfide-based solid electrolytes such as LISICON.
The solid electrolyte material of the all-solid-state battery is often difficult to satisfy the physical properties required by the all-solid-state battery itself, and a material having a function may be added to the solid electrolyte material to compensate for this. In this regard, the polymer solid electrolyte may improve the physical properties by doping the functional dopant, but due to the nature of the polymer, a simple mixing of the functional dopant and the polymer solid electrolyte does not uniformly and easily dop the functional dopant in the polymer solid electrolyte. . In this situation, in order to uniformly dope the functional dopant in the polymer solid electrolyte, the doping was conventionally performed under high temperature conditions. However, in order for the doping to proceed at a high temperature condition, a separate heat source is required for the device, and the heat source is continuously supplied with energy to maintain the inside of the device at a high temperature for the doping time. In particular, since the polymer, which is a material of the solid electrolyte, may be deformed by heat, the properties of the existing material may not be maintained as it is. In this regard, there is still a need for improved doping methods in the art.
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention is to provide a method of doping a polymer for a solid electrolyte that can be doped with a functional dopant to the polymer for a solid electrolyte only by a ball milling method without increasing the temperature.

According to a second aspect of the invention,

The present invention provides a lithium secondary battery comprising the solid electrolyte described above.
The doping method of the polymer for a solid electrolyte according to the present invention does not increase the temperature at room temperature in particular, it is possible to introduce the dopant to the polymer simply by ball milling, it is possible to minimize the deformation of the polymer that may occur during doping. In addition, by using the above method, doping can be performed without heating, thereby simplifying the doping process and increasing energy efficiency. In addition, since the doped dopant has a similar level of uniformity as compared to the conventional doping method by heating, it can be directly applied to the solid electrolyte of the all-solid-state battery.

Doping Method of Polymer
The present invention provides a method of doping a polymer for a solid electrolyte comprising ball milling a mixture of a polymer and a dopant and washing and drying the ball milled mixture to obtain a polymer doped with a dopant. Since the dopant is substantially doped into the polymer by the ball milling step in the above method, the present invention does not include the step for doping except for the ball milling step. Hereinafter, two steps constituting the doping method of the polymer according to the present invention will be described in detail.
In order to dope the dopant in the polymer, the polymer and the dopant are first introduced into a ball milling apparatus. Here, the ball milling device may be used without particular limitation as long as it is generally used in the art, but in the ball milling device, the ball has a particle diameter of 5 to 20 mm, preferably 10 to 15 mm, of zirconia (Zirconia, ZrO 2 ). It may be desirable to use a ball. In addition, the weight ratio of the ball and the mixture may be 1:10 to 1:30, preferably 1:20 to 1:30. When using zirconia balls in the above-described particle diameter range and adjusting the weight ratio of the ball and the mixture within the above-mentioned ranges, ball milling may have functionality for crushing, mixing and doping within an appropriate range. The polymer may be selected without particular limitation, in consideration of the utility of the present invention, a polymer that may be used as a solid electrolyte in an all-solid-state battery may be preferable. In the all-solid-state battery, the solid electrolyte requires a certain level or more of ionic conductivity due to the characteristics of the battery, and satisfies this requirement by doping a polymer with a dopant. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the polymer is polyphenylene sulfide, polyphenylene oxide, polyetherketone, polysulfone, polysulfone, polyvinylidene fluoride ) And combinations thereof, and may preferably be polyphenylene sulfide. In addition, it may be useful to use electron acceptors or oxidants as the dopants act to release ions for ion transport and mobility. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the dopant may be selected from the group consisting of tetra-cyanoethylene, dicyanodichlorobenzoquinone, chloranil, and combinations thereof, preferably Preferably chloranyl.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the polymer and the dopant may be added at a weight ratio of 1: 1 to 3: 1, preferably 1.5: 1 to 2.5: 1. Since the doping method according to the present invention has a lower probability of doping the dopant in the polymer than the doping method by heating, the content of the dopant relative to the polymer may be relatively high as compared with the doping method by heating. However, it is possible to recover the dopant and then recycle it by washing. If the weight ratio of the polymer to the dopant is less than 1, the amount of dopant doped in the polymer increases slightly, even if the polymer increases the ratio of the dopant to exceed the content that can accommodate the dopant, the weight ratio of the polymer to the dopant is 3 If exceeded, the amount of dopant doped in the polymer may be significantly reduced.
In the ball milling step, the rotation speed may be an important factor in determining mixing, doping or crushing of the polymer and the dopant. Mixing is the process that can occur most easily. In comparison, doping is a process that can occur when a greater force is applied to the polymer and dopant than mixing. However, since the polymer and the dopant may be crushed when an infinitely large force is applied to the polymer and the dopant, the force should be controlled within an appropriate range. The rotation speed may determine the force applied to the polymer and the dopant. According to an embodiment of the invention, the ball milling step may be performed at a rotational speed of 300 to 700rpm, preferably 400 to 600rpm. When the rotation speed is less than 300rpm, the polymer and the dopant are simply mixed, but the amount of the dopant doped in the polymer is not large. On the contrary, when the rotation speed is greater than 700 rpm, the amount of dopant doped in the polymer may increase, but the polymer and dopant may be crushed. The time for performing the ball milling should be sufficiently secured so that the dopant is evenly doped over the injected polymer. According to an embodiment of the invention, the ball milling step may be performed for 10 to 30 hours, preferably 15 to 25 hours. When the time for performing the ball milling is less than 10 hours, the amount of dopant to be doped into the polymer is small or evenly doped doped evenly throughout the polymer. In addition, when the time for performing ball milling is more than 30 hours, it is difficult to expect an increase in the doping effect with time.
Ball milling according to the invention can be carried out under temperature conditions of 20 to 50 ° C. According to the method according to the invention, since the dopant can be doped in the polymer even at room temperature, it is possible to minimize the deformation of the polymer structure during the doping process, using a ball milling device that can be used when mixing without a separate heating device The dopant can be simply doped.
The polymer doped with the dopant by the above-described ball milling step may be separated from the undoped dopant by washing. The solvent used for the washing is not particularly limited as long as it is generally used in the art, but a solvent having a higher boiling point and a lower boiling point than the polymer may be used. According to an embodiment of the invention, the solvent may be preferably acetone. The dopant separated with acetone by washing can be dried and recycled. In addition, the polymer doped with the dopant after washing may be dried at a temperature of 60 to 80 ℃ to remove the washing solvent that may be present on the surface. After drying, a polymer finally doped with a dopant may be obtained.
Solid electrolyte and the same 전고체All solid 전지 battery
The polymer doped with the dopant obtained by the above method may be used as a material of the solid electrolyte. In the all-solid-state battery, the solid electrolyte is interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and the method of introducing the solid-state electrolyte into the all-solid battery is by a method known in the art. Hereinafter, the solid electrolyte, the positive electrode and the negative electrode in the all-solid-state battery will be described in detail.
As the negative electrode of the all-solid-state battery, lithium metal is used alone or lithium metal is laminated on a negative electrode current collector. More specifically, the negative electrode active material may be lithium metal or a lithium alloy. The lithium alloy may use an alloy made of lithium and at least one metal selected from the group consisting of Na, K, Rb, Cs, Fr, Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Ra, Al, and Sn. In addition, the negative electrode current collector is not particularly limited as long as it has conductivity without causing chemical changes in the all-solid-state battery. For example, the negative electrode current collector may be formed on the surface of copper, stainless steel, aluminum, nickel, titanium, calcined carbon, copper, or stainless steel. Surface-treated with carbon, nickel, titanium, silver, and the like, aluminum-cadmium alloy and the like can be used. Like the positive electrode current collector, the negative electrode current collector may be used in various forms such as a film, a sheet, a foil, a net, a porous body, a foam, a nonwoven fabric having fine irregularities formed on a surface thereof.
