Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a Mg-Si-based thermoelectric material having improved mechanical strength (particularly, compressive strength) and a method of manufacturing the same.
Thermoelectric technology is a technology that directly converts heat energy into electric energy or electric energy into heat energy in a solid state. It is applied to thermoelectric power generation which converts heat energy into electric energy and thermoelectric cooling which converts electric energy into heat energy.
An example of the thermoelectric power generation field is a technology for converting waste heat of a vehicle into electric energy. Specifically, a thermoelectric material for a vehicle is processed into a predetermined shape to manufacture a thermoelectric device for a vehicle, a manufactured thermoelectric module is bonded to an electrode to manufacture a thermoelectric module for a vehicle, and the thermoelectric module is applied to the inside of the vehicle, . At this time, since the pressure is applied to the bonding between the automotive thermoelectric element and the electrode, the thermoelectric material is required to have physical properties sufficient to withstand the applied pressure.
On the other hand, currently commercially available thermoelectric materials can be classified into Bi-Te system for room temperature, Pb-Te system for medium temperature, Mg-Si system, oxide for high temperature and Fe-Si system. The Mg-Si-based thermoelectric material is suitable for manufacturing a thermoelectric device for a vehicle which requires mass production because the thermoelectric performance is good, light and inexpensive.
However, since the Mg-Si-based thermoelectric material has a low compressive strength due to its brittle nature, a crack is generated in the thermoelectric device during the process of applying pressure to the thermoelectric device, The thermoelectric element can not withstand the thermal shock applied in the process, and the life of the thermoelectric module for a vehicle is lowered.
An object of the present invention is to provide a Mg-Si based thermoelectric material having a high thermoelectric performance and a high mechanical strength.
The present invention also provides a method of manufacturing the Mg-Si based thermoelectric material.
The present invention also provides a thermoelectric device including the Mg-Si-based thermoelectric material.

According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method of manufacturing a semiconductor device including a crystal structure comprising crystal grains including a composition of Mg 2 Si and alloy particles having two or more kinds of metals bonded thereto, -Si based thermoelectric material.
In another aspect, the present invention, a) Mg 2 Si to obtain a powder and the second mixture by mixing at least one metal precursor powder, b) the combined granulate by heating reduction of the mixture of two or more metal particles to the Mg 2 Si powder ( and c) sintering the granules to form alloy particles in which the two or more metal particles are combined. According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a plasma display panel comprising an upper insulating substrate, a lower insulating substrate facing the upper insulating substrate, an upper electrode formed on the upper insulating substrate, a lower electrode formed on the lower insulating substrate, A thermoelectric module including the thermoelectric element in contact with the thermoelectric module is provided.
In the Mg-Si-based thermoelectric material of the present invention, alloy particles having a buffering action against current path and external force are present at the interface in the crystal structure, so that the thermal conductivity is low and the electric conductivity and the compressive strength are high. Accordingly, when a thermoelectric element and / or a thermoelectric module is manufactured using the Mg-Si thermoelectric material of the present invention, it is possible to provide a thermoelectric element and / or a thermoelectric module having excellent thermoelectric performance and long life.
