Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a steering column of a vehicle, and more particularly to a steering column of a telescopable vehicle.
BACKGROUND ART [0002] In recent automobiles, a steering apparatus having a telescope or a tilt function is provided for the convenience of the driver. The telescope device is a device that allows the steering column to extend and contract in the axial direction, and the tilting device is a device for adjusting the angle of the steering column.
A conventional steering apparatus for a vehicle includes a steering shaft, a steering column into which a steering shaft is inserted, a mount bracket that fixes the steering column to the vehicle body, a distance portion provided in the steering column to enable telescopic operation of the steering column, A movable gear engaged with the fixed gear, a lever bolt provided through the distance portion, and a lock unit coupled to an end of the lever bolt.
The telescopic operation of the steering apparatus is applied by tightening and releasing the adjusting lever. When the adjusting lever is tightened, the locking force of the locking unit coupled to the end of the lever bolt engages the movable gear with the fixed gear, . On the contrary, when the adjusting lever is released, the meshing state between the fixed gear and the movable gear is canceled and the telescopic operation is enabled.
However, the steering column of a conventional vehicle has a problem in that the lever bolt is not locked by the gear tooth catching tooth of the movable gear engaged with the mountain of the fixed gear when the telescopic operation is performed. In this case, the driver's operation feeling of the lever is lowered, and if the lever or the gear is severely damaged, the driver may feel uncomfortable.
Further, since the steering column is not stably fixed due to the engagement of the gear teeth, the steering column pops up when the vehicle collides or collides with the driver, and safety of the driver is not ensured.
The present invention provides a steering column of a vehicle that enables stable fastening between a fixed block and a movable block during a telescopic locking operation of a steering column.
The objects of the present invention are not limited to those described above, and other objects and advantages of the present invention which are not mentioned can be understood by the following description.
A steering column of a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention includes an inner tube into which a steering shaft is inserted and coupled; A fixing block provided on the outer circumferential surface of the inner tube in the axial direction of the steering column and having a plurality of fastening holes; An outer tube coupled to an outer side of the inner tube so that the inner tube is movable, and having a distance portion formed on both sides of the fixed block and formed with a first bolt hole; A movable block coupled to the fixed block and having a second bolt hole formed therein; A lever bolt installed through the fixed block and the distance portion; And a locking unit coupled to an end of the lever bolt and pressing the movable block to engage with the fixed block to restrict movement of the lever bolt.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the inner tube may have a stopper that separates the movable block from the fixed block when the lever bolt is unlocked.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the fixing block includes: a guide portion installed on the outer circumferential surface of the inner tube in the axial direction of the steering column; And a load absorbing portion coupled to one side of the guide portion and having a plurality of fastening holes formed at regular intervals and supporting the guide portion when a load is generated on the steering column to absorb a load.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the load absorbing portion may be coupled to the guide portion such that the load absorbing portion is broken from the guide portion when a load greater than a set value is generated in the steering column.
In an embodiment of the present invention, a space may be formed in the guide portion, and a portion of the load absorbing portion may be banded into the inner space of the guide portion.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the guide portion may include a banding guide for guiding winding and unfolding of the load absorbing portion.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the movable block includes a block body portion having a first bolt hole formed therein; And a fastening part provided at one side of the block body part and having fastening protrusions formed to be coupled to the fastening holes.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the movable block may further include an elastic member positioned between the movable block and the distance portion to elastically support the movable block.
According to the embodiment of the present invention, even if the fastening protrusion of the movable block is positioned between the fastening hole of the fastening block and the fastening hole in the telescopic locking state, the movable block presses the fastening block by the elastic force of the elastic member, When a predetermined impact or the like occurs in the axial direction, the engaging projections of the movable block are inserted into the engaging holes of the adjacent fixed blocks, thereby realizing a stable locking state of the steering column.
According to the embodiment of the present invention, when a load equal to or greater than a set value is applied to the steering column due to collision or collision of the vehicle or the like, the load absorbing portion of the fixed block is separated from the guide portion, The load applied to the steering column is absorbed by being supported by the bending load absorbing portion. Therefore, a phenomenon that the steering column pops up due to an external impact or the like is prevented, thereby securing the safety of the driver.

1 to 4, a steering column of a vehicle according to an embodiment includes an
The
The
The
The guiding
The
The
The lock unit 700 is coupled to the end of the
Operation of the steering column of the vehicle configured as described above will be described below.
When the
Conversely, the driver must change the angle of the steering column to his / her body shape and then convert the telescope-enabled state to the telescope-locked state. When the
However, in the telescopic locking state, the locking protrusion of the
On the other hand, when a load equal to or greater than a predetermined value is applied to the steering column, for example, when a vehicle collides or a collision occurs, the
