Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a filter, an x-ray tube including the filter, and an x-ray system, and more particularly, to a filter for filtering x-rays of a low energy band, an x-ray tube including the filter and an x-ray system.
X-rays are being used as a non-destructive testing method to check for the presence of abnormalities in the manufactured products. The x-ray system shows the internal state of the produced product by transmitting the x-ray, so that the inspector can grasp the internal state without destroying the product and easily judge the abnormality. For example, when an X-ray is transmitted through a semiconductor component using an X-ray system, information on a circuit or structure inside the semiconductor component can be easily obtained.
The x-rays emitted by the x-ray system are electromagnetic waves equivalent to about 1/1000 of the visible light wavelength, and most of the x-rays pass through the object. However, some of the low-energy area x-rays may be absorbed by the object. Objects, such as semiconductor components, that are made of microscopic structures or that can be affected by small energies can be damaged by absorbed x-rays. Therefore, there is a need for a technique that can filter x-rays of a specific energy range that can affect the product.

1 is a view showing the concept of an X-ray tube according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 1, an
The
The
In another embodiment, the
As described above, the
2 is a view for explaining a configuration of an X-ray system according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 2, an
As described above, the
The wavelength of the x-ray emitted from the
Meanwhile, the magnification of the X-ray may be expressed as a distance between the

As described above, the
The
The
The x-ray system according to the various embodiments described above can be used industrially to inspect the product. The x-ray system may also be used for medical purposes. When the x-ray system is used for medical purposes, the specimen holder may be replaced by a bed or table on which the patient can lie.
The

As noted above, the taping material may be carbon, metal (e.g., copper, aluminum), and the bond material may be acrylic, silicone, or the like. The brazing filler material may be titanium (titanium), nickel, or the like. The material of the taping, the material of the bonding or the material of the filler for brazing may perform the filtering function together with the above-mentioned filter material.
In FIG. 5, the filter units are stacked in three or two layers. However, the filter unit may be formed as one layer or two or more layers. On the other hand, the filter portion can be produced with a thickness between 0.01 mm and 5 mm.
The filter unit according to various embodiments described above can exhibit a superior effect even in the thickness similar to that of the conventional filter.
6 is a diagram for explaining a test result of a filter unit according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 6, a test result comparing an existing filter with a filter according to an embodiment is shown. According to Fig. 6 (a), a result of testing a filter in use is shown. Conventional filters include an Si layer and a Zn layer. In the energy spectrum, a peak point may appear at a low energy region band of 10 keV or less, and an x-ray flux of a low energy region band is at least 1 x 10 4 / cm 2. That is, there is not sufficient filtering effect of the X-rays in the low energy region band. When the conventional filter shown in Fig. 6 (a) is used as the reference filter, the test result of the filter according to the embodiment is shown in Fig. 6 (c).
According to Fig. 6 (c), the result of testing a filter according to an embodiment of the present invention is shown. The filter according to an embodiment sequentially includes W layers, V layers, and Si layers from a layer adjacent to the target. In the energy spectrum, the peak point does not appear in the low energy region band below 10 keV, and the x-ray flux in the low energy region band appears to be less than 1 × 10 4 # / cm 2. That is, the filter according to an embodiment of the present invention significantly suppresses the amount of x-rays in the low energy region of 10 keV or less. 6 (a), since the filter thickness is almost the same as that of the conventional filter, and the damage reduction rate is 5.4 times, the filtering effect of the filter according to the embodiment is also shown in FIG. 6 (a ) Than existing filters. However, since the dose reduction rate is about 2 times and the image brightness is about 0.6 times, the filter according to one embodiment is somewhat darker than the conventional filter shown in FIG. 6 (a).
However, as shown in Fig. 6 (a), the existing filter of Fig. 6 (a) has a low filtering effect on the low energy region versus the x-ray. Thus, a test result of a filter using a conventional filter material to produce a filtering effect similar to the filter according to an embodiment of the present invention is shown in Fig. 6 (b).
According to Fig. 6 (b), there is shown a test result of testing a second existing filter showing a filtering effect similar to that of Fig. 6 (c). The second conventional filter of FIG. 6 (b) represents a damage reduction rate similar to the filter reduction rate of the filter according to an embodiment of the present invention. However, the second conventional filter shown in Fig. 6 (b) is twice as thick as the filter according to the embodiment of the present invention, and is also disadvantageous in terms of the dose decay rate and the image brightness.
That is, the filter according to an embodiment of the present invention shown in FIG. 6 (c) exhibits an excellent filtering effect on the low-energy area X-ray with a relatively thin thickness. As the thickness of the filter becomes thinner, a high magnification image can be obtained, so that the filter according to an embodiment of the present invention can obtain a relatively high magnification image. Also, in comparison with the result of FIG. 6 (b), the filter according to an embodiment of the present invention exhibits a higher damage reduction rate even with a relatively large dose. Therefore, the X-ray system equipped with the filter according to the embodiment of the present invention can shield the X-rays of the low-energy region more and acquire a brighter image.
7 is a view for explaining a test result of a filter unit according to another embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 7, a result of testing a filter according to another embodiment of the present invention is shown. The filter according to an embodiment sequentially includes an alloy layer of W and V and an Si layer from a layer adjacent to the target. In the energy spectrum, the x-ray flux of the low-energy region band is less than 1 x 10 4 # / cm 2. That is, the filter according to an embodiment of the present invention significantly suppresses the amount of x-rays in the low energy region of 10 keV or less. In comparison with the conventional filter shown in Fig. 6 (a), the filter thicknesses are almost the same. Therefore, the filter according to an embodiment of the present invention can obtain a relatively high magnification image.
On the other hand, when compared with the test result of Fig. 6 (c), the material of the alloy is the same as the filter material of Fig. 6 (c) in terms of W and V and the energy spectrum is the same as the energy spectrum of Fig. 6 6 (c).
