Abstract
Description
Embodiments relate to a touch window and a touch device.
[0002] In recent years, a touch window has been applied to input images in a manner of touching an input device such as a finger or a stylus to an image displayed on a display device in various electronic products.
Such a touch window can be largely divided into a resistive touch window and a capacitive touch window. In the resistive touch window, the glass and the electrode are short-circuited by the pressure of the input device and the position is detected. The capacitive touch window senses the change in capacitance between the electrodes when a finger touches them, and the position is detected.
Recently, attention has been paid to a pressure sensor that detects not only a position according to a touch but also a pressure due to a force of a touch or a pressure, and performs various operations.
In the case of a display device formed by combining such a pressure sensor and a touch window, there is a problem that the thickness can be increased due to the structure of the pressure sensor added to the touch window.
Accordingly, a touch window and a touch device having a new structure capable of solving the above problems are required.
The embodiment attempts to provide a touch window capable of realizing a slim thickness.

The touch device according to the embodiment may have an electrode for sensing pressure directly on the substrate. In detail, the pressure sensing electrode can be disposed on the effective area of the substrate.
Thus, the substrate and the pressure sensing electrode can be integrated.
Therefore, the touch device according to the embodiment can omit a separate pressure sensing layer for sensing the pressure.
Therefore, it is possible to prevent an increase in the thickness of the touch device due to the separate pressure sensing layer, thereby realizing a touch device with a slim thickness.
Further, since the pressure sensing electrode is disposed on the effective area of the substrate, it is not limited by the position of the touch sensing electrode, so that it can be applied to various types of touch devices.

Here, the strain gauge means that a metal thin film in a lattice state is formed on an electrical insulator of a thin resin, and a gauge lead having a lead wire is attached.
Generally, an electric resistor has a resistance which prevents current from flowing, and this value differs depending on the material of the resistor, but generally, the thickness becomes thin and the length becomes longer. Therefore, when the resistor is pulled out, the resistance is increased by being elongated, and when the resistor is pressed, the resistance is decreased.
The strain gauge is based on the above principle. The touch window according to the embodiment can detect the force or the pressure applied to the cover substrate and the magnitude thereof according to the variation amount of the resistance value.
Referring to FIG. 6, the
That is, the region where the protrusion P is formed and the region where the
The protrusions P may be formed in various shapes. For example, the protrusions P may be formed in various shapes such as a hemispherical shape, a square shape, and a triangular shape.
The sensitivity of the
The touch device according to the embodiment may have an electrode for sensing pressure directly on the substrate.
Referring to FIGS. 2 and 4 to 6, a touch electrode may be disposed on the effective area AA of the

The touch electrode may include a transparent conductive material to allow electricity to flow without disturbing the transmission of light
For example, the touch electrode may include at least one of indium tin oxide, indium zinc oxide, copper oxide, tin oxide, zinc oxide, titanium oxide, oxide and the like. Accordingly, when manufacturing a flexible and / or bent touch device, the degree of freedom can be improved.
Alternatively, the touch electrode may include a nanowire, a photosensitive nanowire film, a carbon nanotube (CNT), a graphene, a conductive polymer, or a mixture thereof. Accordingly, when the touch device having flexible and / or bending is manufactured, the degree of freedom can be improved.
When nanocomposites such as nanowires or carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are used, they may be made of black. The color and reflectance can be controlled while securing the electric conductivity by controlling the content of the nano powder.
Alternatively, the touch electrode may include various metals. For example, the touch electrode is made of chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), copper (Cu), aluminum (Al), silver (Ag), molybdenum (Mo). Gold (Au), titanium (Ti), and alloys thereof. Accordingly, when manufacturing a flexible and / or bent touch device, the degree of freedom can be improved.
Alternatively, the touch electrodes may be arranged in a mesh shape. For example, the touch electrode may include a plurality of sub-electrodes arranged to intersect with each other, and the touch electrodes may be arranged in a mesh shape as a whole by the sub-electrodes.
The touch electrode has a mesh shape so that the pattern of the touch electrode can be made invisible on the effective area. That is, even if the touch electrode is formed of metal, the pattern can be made invisible. Also, even if the touch electrode is applied to a touch window of a large size, the resistance of the touch window can be lowered.
In detail, the touch electrode may include a mesh line formed by a plurality of sub-electrodes crossing each other and a mesh opening between the mesh lines.

The line width of the mesh line may be about 0.1 탆 to about 10 탆. The mesh line having a line width of the mesh line less than about 0.1 탆 may not be possible in the manufacturing process, and when the line width is more than about 10 탆, the sensing electrode pattern may be visually recognized from outside and visibility may be deteriorated. Alternatively, the line width of the mesh wire may be from about 1 [mu] m to about 5 [mu] m. Or, the line width of the mesh line may be about 1.5 탆 to about 3 탆.
Further, the thickness of the mesh line may be about 100 nm to about 500 nm. If the thickness of the mesh wire is less than about 100 nm, the electrode resistance may increase and the electrical characteristics may deteriorate. If the mesh wire thickness exceeds about 500 nm, the overall thickness of the touch window may become thick and the process efficiency may be deteriorated. Preferably, the thickness of the mesh line may be from about 150 nm to about 200 nm. More preferably, the thickness of the mesh line may be from about 180 nm to about 200 nm.
